I want to give a massive shout out to the Mckinley soccer program. Tonight was what soccer in the this state is all about. The atmosphere was second to none. The band, cheerleaders and fans cheering throughout was something you don't see every day. On the field, you were faced with adversity, and responded brilliantly. As a fan of the game, I honestly loved the roar of the stadium when you guys grabbed a goal back in that second half. It was a great second half to be a part of. You could tell the passion of the boys by their reactions after the final whistle. That is hard to teach/coach into a player. I think you guys are moving in the right direction. Hats off to a great season and an even better evening. Well Done!

I’m here to tell you McKinely is the best place to watch a game in Louisiana. The field could use some TLC as could the lights, but the spirit and celebration of the game were the best I've witnessed. The rule about no band or noise needs to go in the trash. I’ve got a ton of respect for the way Holy Cross stayed level tonight. That’s a real mark of a champion. They were coached by a couple of the finest in the state, and McKinely challenged every aspect of the staff at times. I’m sad I can’t watch these two teams play tomorrow night again. Anyone that watched this game and didn’t leave feeling great about both sides is in the wrong place in life. The Holy Cross fans weren’t too shabby either, and both teams played with high pace and complete class. I wish we could bottle this game up and market it to Others for so many reasons. Next season I’m vowing to be a significant contributor to the McKinely program because they need a little hand up. The Holy Cross program will be one heck of a tough out, and I don’t see anyone stopping them after what they endured And overcame tonight. I'm in awe of this game and will be hard-pressed to enjoy a game more! Sounds like a great time.

I could be reading this wrong, but I think they are only banned for Indoor Sports.
6.24 PROHIBITED ITEMS 6.24.1 Artificial noisemakers, including, but not limited to, such items as bells, horns, drums, jam boxes, amplifiers, and/or megaphones, shall be prohibited in any indoor facility while an interscholastic contest is being played. Artificial noisemakers do not include items providing warm up music under the team(s) supervision or instruments used by an organized stage or pep band if approved by the host principal. Authorized pep bands shall not be permitted to play at any time and in any manner while the ball is “alive.”

Rule seems specific to regulate noise at indoor events.

We had our band play (years ago Pokle) when I was at Bolton and Menard had a band play in the past as well. And this has been debated before, way before this Prep Board. Some of us (me)are really getting old! I'm just hoping for some clarification because it sounds like it was a great environment and would like for more schools that have bands to try this. It really motivated our student body and players back then.

I called William Gee, he said the bands shall play.. in fact they should be doing halftime shows right there on the pitch
