Have you met the head coach at Bonnabel? If not, you should. He's what I love about high school soccer — approximately 6’4” and a mountain of a man. Easy going, and according to his players, he's cool, funny, and respected. His team's had some fantastic results this season, and I don't think they've lost when at full strength. You’ll never find their coach moaning about what he doesn't have when players can't make a game because of work, sibling babysitting, out of the country in Honduras, and so on goes the list. His team is mainly Latin kids from working-class families. He enjoys them, and likewise, they love him. I'm pulling for your coach and hope to hear about the bus ride at some point, and how many of the boys made the trek. Wishing all of them to make it but understand life is bigger than the game when you're trying to survive and care for your family.
Their opponents will waltz into this contest from their cozy confines nestled around the Layette community. Country club kids from the Le Triomphe and City Club at River Ranch. They'll bring hours of personal trainers experience to the match while the opponents bring street ball and pickup games to the match. The coach from St. Thomas will be loud and possibly British. The best money can buy and he’ll bark unusual commands while firebruin gazes at the massive size of The St. Thomas players. They’ve been fed only the most exquisite meals since They were hatched. The St. Thomas kids will be far superior in many ways, but Bonnabel can outrun them and out create them.
When the dust settles Gallstar believes that Bonnabel will March on by a score of 3-2

Interesting write up. I guess STM is being classified as the “Villians”? I’m familiar with some of the players there and don’t know of any having Personal Trainers? They are essentially a High School soccer team just like the visitors. Maybe this view is because they are a Private School just like a few others still in the mix. Either way, this game will be settled on the pitch away from the Country Club. Social standing won’t really matter once the whistle blows. Good luck to all! Should be a good match! STM should be a handful at home.

I predict a state championship for STM, therefore they win 4-1 Tuesday night.

I guess I didn’t realize this was a comedy forum? Although I guess some people would find the prediction humorous

The link to the game: www.nfhsnetwork.com/events/st-thomas-more-high-school-lafayette-la/gam086fd2e3f9Just some info for everyone on how that website works: It will cost money to watch. $10.99 monthly payment that can be canceled after the state championships. So you will get this game and the 4 state championship games for this price and the 4 girls games also then you can cancel your subscription after that or at any time. That's 9 games for $10.99 plus any other games they happen to stream as well before the state championship games.

Bonnabel in white black white
STM in their navy blue.
Looks muggy and wet for weather over in Lafayette. Rain clouds off in the distance. Very nice stadium might I say.

Bonnabel free kick just outside of 18 and goalie with a great save for a corner.

STM gets a corner that falls to a player who shoots it just wide and I mean just wide.
22 left in half.

Back and forth now. STM with more of the chances in the game I’d say but not by much.
12 left in half.

Too many missed opportunities for STM. They need to make some shots.

0-0 at halftime!
STM has had more opportunities but missed opportunities is right. Bonnabel looks good on counter attacks.
