Rumor has it that Caddo has a pretty good goalkeeper. I saw stats from the EJ coach that stated his boys put 19 on the frame and scored zero. To top this off, I think they only made one possibly two of their PKs. I'm getting my stats from various spots, so feel free to chime in if I misspeak. The bottom line is the goalie is a stud. The results for Caddo are impressive when you factor in they now get to host the three seed for a home game. They'll know how to play the full 110 minutes if needed as well. They've got two playoff wins and look to be ready to take on anyone that dares.
Beau Chene found a way to play their way into the quarter finals, but all their hard work and three seed may only grant them one home game. Sorry but Gallstar thinks the higher seed should always host. I'm sure the rule was introduced to make it better or reasonable for a few unusual scenarios. Nobody could have imagined the number of top seeds being forced to travel this year. I've picked against Caddo a few times and have been burnt. I'm a creature of habit and will go against them again until a ball finally gets past their keeper. I think Beau Chene has ample fire power to get not one but 4 past the Caddo Curtain. Then it's likely on the road to STM or possibly A Bonnabel host party. Many people are pulling for coach Chad and this year has a feel of now or never.
Gallstar pick BC in a dominating 4-0 victory.

Caddo and BC are very familiar with each other. BC has had the better of them last couple seasons and last year the keeper from Caddo kept the game at 1-0 for most of the game keeping it in doubt. Wasn’t till Dree got the second one that the Gators could breathe easier in last years quarters. It’s on turf and wide and I think BC speed and forwards finishing will be enough to get the rematch with Stm or the home game against Bonnabel. I read today on BC Futbol twitter that we are 7-1 in quarters all time. Think we make it 8-1 with a 3-0 victory.

Gallstar, you’ve grown on me. For real- I appreciate all of your write ups this year previewing the games. You’ve really added something to the mix these past couple years, so thanks for that. I just wish you could’ve seen what these boards used to be, you would’ve loved it. I expect this will be a good one, hope some neutral folks can make it out. No prediction from me, but I hope everyone makes it out healthy.

I'm glad to do these for the kids and to invoke a lot of conversation and hopefully Stir a laugh. It seems to be working, and I plan to stay around four more years with Step- Gallstar. If you've not met Coach Adrian's son, you're missing out. He and I recently announced the Alumni game together, and he's a very cool young man. I'm a big fan of soccer and hope to Give back as much as possible. Once the seasons over I'm going to be working with Tulane on a new challenge.

Now if you can pull of the Tulane challenge they might make you an honorary lallstar. I think that is a worthwhile endeavor, although I do not think they would ever agree to the 75% Louisiana resident rule. But good luck friend.

The worst they can tell us is no. It's something I've gotten use to after 22 years of marriage! Your wife is my favorite personality on this board. Quachita you just got a new fan. Mama Gallstar said you clearly know your stuff. She’s a good ole gal and keeps baby gallstar all taken care of. Hopefully, she’ll be able to get over to Hammond for some of the soccer but She's most excited about the La Carretta joint and if she gets into the groove on those margaritas it's party time! We Hope to host at least one throw down and if you’re team looses like Baby Gallstar and the Gators it’s less pressure and time to let loose! Let’s all show up and make a statement about the sport we love. It’s one thing to be there for your own but it’s equally fun to celebrate others. Hoping to meet you as well Quachita. Mama Gallstar is online already looking for her a Quachita shirt.

More talk about mama Gallstar and Tulane soccer in this thread than the game itself. Haha unreal. WTH is goin on here. Is there another thread about this game on another board. Did it even happen. Did anyone show up. 😎🤓. Was there a band and dancers there as well?

I watched this game and the Shreve/Denham game from the top row at Lee Hedges as both games were going on simultaneously on the turf and grass.
Pretty even first half with both teams have a few half chances. Magnet keeper with some big saves to keep it 0-0 at the half.
2nd half Beau Chene upped the tempo a little bit and played with more urgency. First goal pretty unlucky for Magnet. Driven ball into center back who looked to have hands and arms close to his body but was called for handling just outside the box. Free kick struck hard and came off the keeper with follow up smashed in before he could recover.
This forced Magnet to come out a little more which resulted in the second goal which was a 1v1 on the left side. #10 I believe dribbled defender and hit hard shot top shelf over the keepers hands. Magnet was patient and had decent build up, just lacked the final pass and creativity in the final third. Having watched several of the boys games, this game was decent to watch as neither team just lumped the ball forward.
Congrats to Coach Chad for moving on and to Coach Nick for competing well with a group of guys that worked hard and did their part for the team. No superstars, but well coached and disciplined.

BC rolls along. The BC - STM game should be a good one. I predict the winner of that one is state champions. Early pick St. Thomas More.

Congrats to Coach Chad for moving on and to Coach Nick for competing well with a group of guys that worked hard and did their part for the team. No superstars, but well coached and disciplined. thanks for the write up... just getting home. First goal was set up by Adrian Eaglin Free Kick hard and low which got a great diving save from the All State worthy keeper and then Put in immediately by Trey Whaley who now has his second goal of playoffs after only 2 or 3 all season. second goal was a great ball by Trey Whaley to returning state offensive MVP Adrian Dree Eaglin for a great individual effort and a goal, his 52nd of the season. Caddo came out on fire with wind to their back... we didn’t settle in till late first half and keeper saved a few good ones. Second half we took over right away with wind to our back kept the ball pinned in our offensive halve with more pressure higher up the field. Their keeper did a great job all night as he did in last years quarters as well. Very similar game and result with a free kick goal (Put back this year) and late individual effort from Dree to ice it. Coach Nick continues to do great things at Caddo. Their time is coming... For us... it’s 8-1 in Quarters all time. Undefeated vs Public schools (even select magnet schools) all time in quarters and semifinals. 7 semifinals or better in last 8 years, 8th semifinal total in 14 year history. Yes we are 2-5 all time in Semifinals losing all 5 to power private schools. Still it’s a big stat for us in our history... Proud of that but looking for the next step, as the t shirt says...Huge game Friday at STM.
