Episcopal of Acadiana is clicking on all cylinders at this time. They charged over the past month like a great thoroughbred coming to the line. They gave way by a nose to St. Michaels in their last contest of the regular season. I'm okay with this and was impressed with their first playoff result. It's tough to come off the bye and beat a quality Covenant side by three goals. I love their history and their quality style of play. I hate that they’ve got to travel, but that's how the five seed works. I firmly believe the five seed is the most robust place to come from to win this tournament.
Christ Episcopal made a massive statement in their first playoff game. 5-0 isn't a score that leaves much to the imagination beyond one team was better. Christ Episcopal has been superb all season long, and when we talk about a pretty style of play, this game will be one of the best to watch. Christ is committed to a possession game and has picked their spots to go faster On the season. They've only lost twice all year, and one of those games was the first of the season. The other was a close battle with Lusher. If I must pick this game I will take the visitor.
Gallstar picks EA 3-2 and flipped a coin to decide.

EA got this easily cause they some dawgs. Their defenders won’t dare let a striker even look at the ball and their keeper might as well take a nap. EA 3-0

I got EA in a close one. They are extremely well coached and have a couple studs in the middle. I expect them to score early and control the tempo the whole game. EA 2-1

2-0 CE. The D is a brick wall! #9 and #10 for EA are difference makers. I think they will be able to get past Christ Episcopal’s defense to net a couple of goals. I look forward to this matchup.

EA 3-0 They are not dogs, they are Episcopalian boys Actually most of them are not Episcopalian, it’s a very mixed school. And yes, they are some dawgs.

Here is a rough game summary fwiw. ESA scores 7 min. in. CES gk has brain fart and handles a back pass inside the 6. CES 0-ESA 1. CES scores 11 min in.assisted goal 1-1 CES scores 14 min in. Assisted goal CES 2-1 MF puts it on frame CES 3-1 Half - lot of stoppage time for some reason. ESA pushed hard but no result. Both teams had a few nice crossing opportunities. CES FK a little high. Second half. CES scores assisted goal. Shot from winger curls over gk from 20+ yards out.Defender backs off thinking that he would go to the for cross. No 2nd defender in sight. CES 4-1 ESA scores with 22 left. Forward gets through nice strike. CES 4-2 ESA coach wants more build up play but they keep going long where everything is mopped up or run down by CES. CES scores long shot not handled by gk. Rolls into six and is poked in. CES 5-2 7 min left. Bench players check in. CES scores. Forward creates shot inside the 18. CES 6-2 Final ESA had a good shot hit the top bar and CES missed a PK shot that would have shut the door Clean game. Just boys playing soccer. Playing hard. CES benefits from playing in a very competitive district with STA, NLC and PJP. District games are played like playoff games. Good turnout for both teams. Played on one of the nicest grass fields you will find in Louisiana. Coach Greg Carnovale and Tony Judice CAN coach. Third year of varsity soccer at CES. Both girls and boys advance to the semi-finals.
