This is the 2nd game of a Monday night doubleheader at Pan Am. It'll take place after the Mt. Carmel vs. Central Lafourche game. As I mentioned in the other thread, there will be a live stream of both games: crescentcitysports.com/crescent-city-sports-to-live-stream-girls-soccer-playoff-doubleheader-monday/Dominican scraped out a 1-0 win when these two teams played each other in December in the Lakeshore tournament. I didn't see that game, but having seen these teams play on a couple of other occasions I think DHS deserves to be the favorite. They're very solid defensively. St. Joe's has a good defense as well, but I think Dominican will have enough offensive firepower to put a goal or two in the back of the net. The reward for the winning team is a trip to Northshore, who won their quarterfinal game against Lafayette last Friday.

Having played both teams I think this will be another close game. Both teams like to possess through the midfield and build vs playing kick and run. Both defenses are solid but I agree with Kevin that the DHS difference makers will be up front. If St. Joe's is going to score it likely comes from a midfielder from 20+ or a set piece. DHS 2-1

Both defenses on very solid. This game is won on a set piece (pinball machine style), 1-0. Not sure which way.

We're underway. SJA kicks off to the south. They're in white/red/white. DHS in all black.

Refs are in yellow, I think they might be from Lafayette but that's really just a guess.

DHS rips a shot from distance, I thought for a second it was in but it hit the inside of the post and stayed out! Wow. I'll definitely be looking for a replay of that.

DHS another corner, cleared, SJA 16 counters down the right, DHS 20 with a great tackle, starts her own counter, then DHS is offside.

Goal DHS! Mixup between an SJA defender and the keeper. She looked to play it back and the keeper wasn't ready. 35' 1-0 DHS leads.

DHS coach wants a handball on a throw in that bounces up into an SJA player in the box. Ref shakes his head.
