Loyola prep @ Vandy 2/22 at 11am Nice 5 hour road trip. Yikes 20 hours on the road in less than a week.

Nothing wrong with current PR system. People are always wanting change but it is pretty perfect. If the best argument is well let us just make number 1 champions or well they got home field That is not an argument to change from a system that appears to work. Several higher seeds played road games last night. Leave it alone. if anything needs to be changed, then it should be that higher seeds, those ranked #1 or #2, should not have to travel and should stay at home because they earned home-field advantage

Wish our game was Saturday night to give two full days for field to dry out. It would be in great shape then but I guess LSU baseball is the reason.

With parades all day Saturday, the city almost becomes impossible to navigate, and some of our players would be gridlocked in their neighborhoods until the parades would be over. We're going to keep an eye on the rain and field conditions, for sure. If worst comes to worst, we would definitely look into moving to Saturday.

My thought process is that Thursday is the big day for rain here. Has rained a little here today. Friday is supposed to be dry as is Saturday. So in a perfect world, which this not, Saturday night at 7 PM would give the field about 2 days of really good weather to dry out and be in tip top shape. Our field has been the best it has ever been since I have been around the last 9 years or so and has held up even with the girls and boys both playing on it and it being spongy. They have not practiced on this year to keep it this way. So 2 days to dry out would be something it has not had in a while. Just my 2 cents that no one asked for so don't take it wrong. Just an opinion.

But again, with Mardi Gras and the New Orleans bus transportation issues, it'd be really difficult. That's the reality we live in, unfortunately. I'll be in contact with Coach Mitchell. If he's afraid the field isn't up to par, we can definitely attempt to move it to the following day. We'd just have to do some major planning on our end to make sure all of our players are able to leave at certain times.

That would be awesome sauce man

University doesn't have a 130 x 75 tarp to cover the field?

University doesn't have a 130 x 75 tarp to cover the field? Maybe we could borrow Tiger Stadium's tarp.
