BF needs to make to stay in...saved! Low shot right at the keeper. STM wins 3-2 on penalties!

My bold prediction was wrong. The losing goalkeeper just got most outstanding player. I don't know how often that's happened, but well deserved IMO. Kept them in the game and made a save in the shootout even though she was limping around like a tall Kerri Strugg out there. Hats off to Ben Franklin's Yana Fielkow. And congrats to STM for taking home the championship trophy.

Wow. Thanks Kevin. Congrats to STM. I thought BF had it when they went to kicks. I’ve heard a lot of coaches hs and club say she’s the best keeper ithey have seen in yrs.

Congrats to BF on a great season and to STM for winning the title. Sounds like it was a great game. Yana Fielkow is definitely the real deal.

I think this is a fitting matchup for the D2 finals. No two teams have been as dominant in D2 recently as Ben Franklin and STM. This is the 5th finals appearance for each team since 2013. In fact, at least one of these teams has been in the finals for the last 8 years. And both teams have revenge on their mind. - Ben Franklin beat STM in the finals in 2014 and the semis in 2015.
- STM knocked Ben Franklin out of the playoffs 2017, 2018, and 2019
I am expecting a great game. Revenge was the wrong word choice. I meant friendly rivalry. These teams don't usually play during the season, but always meet up in the playoffs. They have played 6 of the last 7 seasons. And there is a really good chance they could meet in the finals again next year. Both teams are only losing two starters -- Their keepers and one other player each.
