Good stuff but I don’t agree that the Terrebonne results indicate a tie. Ha ha yeah I thought that might get some chirps. Well you could say edge Newman on point differential but word is Terrebonne lost their keeper for that game (it does look unusual). You could say result was same regardless of score and Episcopal did it away from home so edge Episcopal. I just kept it even. Same with the CNI game...Newman won away but Episcopal had better point differential and it was tourney so 3 goals in shorter time. Tie. Common Opponents between Newman and Episcopal this season: Vs each other: 1-0 Episcopal on neutral field: Edge Episcopal Vs Holy Cross: both teams tied 1-1 in home games: Tie Vs Lusher: Newman 1-1 T away, Episcopal 1-3 L away: Edge Newman Vs Dutchtown: both teams lose 0-4 in away games: Tie Vs East Jeff: Newman 1-1 T home, Episcopal 1-0 W away: Edge Episcopal Vs Terrebonne: Newman 9-2 W home, Episcopal 1-0 W away: Tie Vs Pope John: Newman 4-1 W home, Episcopal 2-1 W home: Tie Vs Catholic NI: Newman 3-2 W away, Episcopal 3-0 W away: Tie

A little history between Episcopal and Newman since the last time they met in the finals... I love the history between these two schools. However, there are just a few corrections in these results... The rest is accurate... You are correct! Thanks for that, I will edit.

A little history between Episcopal and Newman since the last time they met in the finals:
2013 #2 Episcopal beats #1 Newman 2-1 in OT in the D3 Championship. 2014 Episcopal beats Newman 2-1 in regular season rematch, but loses to Lusher in the Q's who wins it all. Newman put out by NLC in the Semis. 2015 Newman beats Episcopal 7-0 in regular season, and later eliminates Episcopal 5-1 in the 2nd round. Newman goes out to SLC in the Semis (who wins #11). 2016 Newman goes to D4 and loses to NLC in the finals. Episcopal stays in D3 but runs into SLC in the Quarters who wins it all. 2017 Newman wins the D4 Championship vs ESA. Episcopal goes to D3 finals after upsetting #1 Vandy but loses to SLC in a game they are still mad about. 2018 Newman gets to D4 final but loses to ESA. Episcopal joins D4 with high hopes but loses to NLC in the semis. 2019 Newman loses to NLC in the D4 final. Episcopal loses to NLC in the Quarters on the way there. 2020 Episcopal beats Newman 1-0 early in the season in the first rematch in 5 years. D4 Finals are rematch of 2013. Full circle.
These two have been orbiting each other in D3 and D4 for the past 7 years with only 5 match-ups. Episcopal 3-2.

After watching the DIV and DI girls play last night, the playing surface at Strawberry Stadium favors the Greenies. It’s very similar to there home field and it’s tough to beat them there. They will dominate possession but need to find a way to finish. Both teams are used to a narrow pitch and rely on the long throw, which will be ineffective in this game. Newman wins 2-1.

When Lusher beat EHS, the Knights best player had to miss because of a class function for a grade. The team was also beat up. That is not the case today. EHS wins 3-0. Their defense is for real!

Scoreboard just went out. Shades of the Tad Gormley power outage from a few years back. Thankfully it's still daytime.

Nothing much happening since I got here. Lots of throw-ins being traded on the near sideline.

EBR 8 with a nice run up the middle, lays it off to his left for 7 but Newman breaks it up.

EBR 10 fouls Newman 3 with a late slide tackle. FK 30 yards out, left half. 10 to take. Bends it around the 3-man wall but it's straight at the keeper.

EBR 17 YC for a blatant shirt grab to break up a Newman counter. Easy decision for the ref, no hesitation. Newman dads still angry even though they got the call and the card.

EBR 10 whistled for a push. Newman FK 25 out on the left half. 4-man wall. 9 crosses to the back post, deflects out for a corner. Outswinger headed clear, then EBR puts it out for a throw.
