There aren't many teams in our history that have gone a whole season undefeated, and even fewer have won every game. Here's a list of those teams, as best as I could find going through the archives. Some of these teams are among the very best LA high school soccer has ever seen.
Undefeated Seasons 1996 Mandeville (21-0-2) 1999 Newman (19-0-2) 2002 St. Martin's (20-0-3) 2005 Jesuit (30-0-2) 2006 St. Louis (31-0-2) 2009 Jesuit (31-0-2) 2010 Jesuit (30-0-1) 2015 St. Paul's (31-0-3) 2018 ESA (24-0-1)
Perfect Seasons 1999 Jesuit (31-0) 2007 Jesuit (31-0) 2020 St. Paul's (29-0)
Congrats to Coach Moser and 2020 St. Paul's on a perfect season and a well-deserved #1 national ranking. I'm pretty sure some of the other recent St. Paul's teams also went undefeated or perfect.
Quite a few state champions over the years only lost one game. Let me know if you are aware of any other teams that belong on this elite list.

Pretty sure ESA was undefeated with 1 draw in 2017-18 You are correct, Coach. Thanks. MaxPreps says they went 24-0-1 in 2017-18. The only thing keeping them from a perfect season is a 2-2 draw to St. Thomas Aquinas right in the middle of the season. That ESA team was dominant, to say the least. They had a +114 GD over just 25 games, by a margin of 126 goals scored to only 12 conceded. Those are video game numbers that will be tough to surpass. This year's incredible St. Paul's team also had a +114 goal difference (129-15) over 29 games. That ESA team played a good schedule and crushed almost everyone they faced. They lapped the field in Division IV, and could probably have competed for a title in the other three divisions, too.

Difference being quality of opponent - Not sure ESA could have done that against the same schedule

I am pretty sure catholic was close to a perfect season in the late 80's or early 90's. I've heard they went undefeated but lost in the final of the championship because of partying the night before. Could be a myth.

East Jefferson 2021 No pressure boys. Gotta have more than 20 games..... Says who? 20 regular season games plus hopefully 4 post season games. 24 games in 90 days is perfect if you ask me. Y'all the crazy ones piling on 30+ games in a season. Then the kids turn around and pile on a bunch of club tournaments and games. No wonder the Collin Turners and Michael Dufours of Louisiana are burnt out of competitive play by the time they're 18.

It starts long before that, at 13 they qualify for regionals which is played in June. So, for 5 to 6 years many of these top players have no real good down time. In July, they are going to ID camps and such and club begins in August. I know one of my boys put his education ahead of playing college soccer. Smart choice as far as I'm concerned and would tell any kid debating between the two, to pick education first. If soccer cannot be involved, oh well. I know some here will not like my stance, but I firmly believe college is for an education first and extra-curricular sports/activities second, just like high school.

I guaranty that Michael Dufour didn't decide not to play college soccer bc of St Paul's 30 game high school schedule this year. Sorry about the double negative. I'll agree that, with many players today on the top club teams, it could be tooo much soccer. I remembered so looking forward to our family vacations in Long island selling minnows in the morning, deep sea fishing with my uncle, listening to my alcoholic ( Irish) grandfather talk about the old country and pulling up huge clams at low tide. Balance in life is good

You can go to LSU and play club soccer, it’s a great option for those who want to continue playing while enjoying SEC college experience.

Good shout. I'll add them to the list. That must be the Jason Kreis Mandeville team. I think Jared Montz would be just a bit too young to be on that team, but not by much.

No, Jason graduated in ‘91 and lost to Lafayette in playoffs. Montz was there shortly after. That team was lead by seniors: Markey, Hinojosa, Wheelock, Mayes, Fortenberry, Williams, Raymond, Milburn, and Moss.
