Congrats to vandy for a well played game and to EA for a great season....i agree with brado10 that it would have been a different game if the whack PK was not given. There were several horrible calls throughout the game, deffidently not the best officals!

I knew Vandy would win all along and they played good. THey did wat they were suppose to do and they took EA out of their game. EA had about 4-5 yellows and one red nearly all out of frustration. While all this went on Vandy feeded off it and finished EA off

Congrats to Vandy, they were a step ahead all game. Beautiful first goal, long freekick headed in on the run by Corbin. Congarts to EA, 2 great years and more to come. After being involved for 7 years of soccer at EA, (#22 senior this year), Its been a great ride, what a great coaching staff, fans and parents. The new A.D. seems to know there are other sports in high school besides football( EA had its first ever, although very short soccer pep rally). Its been a pleasure to know all the fine young men who came through that stadium, and to be allowed to be the voice of the Spartans soccer has been great. There will be many memories of great goals and players. Keep fighting for the beautiful game at EA. Thanks.

Congratulations to Vandebilt. Winning your 3rd Championship in a row is quite an accomplishment. I thought this team would never have pulled it off, but you guys showed great fortitude and over came every obstacle, from naysayers (me), early losses, and injuries, etc. You never gave up and came together to win. DO NOT LET ANYONE TAKE THAT AWAY FROM YOU! You worked hard, your coaches worked tirelessly to fine the right combinations, and the result is on the books for all to see.
To EA, do not let some coach take away from your accomplishment, by saying a bad call caused you to start hanging you heads. I never saw that. You played with great pride and dignity. You never stopped playing and gave everything. I thought you played harder after halftime. You deserve better and I would ask that coach for an apology. He insulted your efforts, your team, your coach, and all of Louisiana Soccer. That may not have been his intention, but that is what he did, and I WILL STICK BY THAT NO MATTER WHAT. And yes, I do wonder if the call had been against Vandy if he would of been so adamant in his condemnations? What would he have said if you guys had come back and won the game? You guys played hard, you deserved to be in your 2nd championship game. Congratulation to you and your coaches.

I think he's talking about Coachrays (St Amant coach) post, not an EA coach's post.

Coach Ray, before this am edit, said your team started hanging their heads after the Pk. He insulted you and your team. Thanks to the editor(which is okay by me), you may not have seen his comment, but he still owes you an apology.

I, as an EA coach, did not feel insulted by coachray's comment... He simply shared his opinion and views of the game as a spectator!
IF anyone needs to apologize, it would be ME for failing to offer the state championship to the players and their family, the school and the community of Gonzales!

I'm not insulted, just embarrassed for you and everyone that he (probably unintentionally)made the comment. Thanks again to the editor it really didn't need to be in his post. But he still owes you and you team an apology.

they TRYED to keep the game under control... they let the players dictate the game and thats about all u can ask for a ref to do... and im sorry but if EA would have had so many stupid fouls before the PK.. it probably would have been called
ooo and i do want to say this to the EA fans... u guys made the game fun and all... but u have to good of a soccer team to act as you guys did... trying to start fights with us (vandy fans)... and saying "how can u talk trash if ur winning?" to us... i mean really that has to be the worse come back i have ever heard...
but all in all it was a great game... and congrads to EA fans for a great run... and congrads to vandy for pullin it off once again!

Talking to a policeman after the game, he said that those who were harassing Vandebilt were not even from East Ascension, but from Lee High.

Talking to a policeman after the game, he said that those who were harassing Vandebilt were not even from East Ascension, but another school altogether. ... this confirms exactly what I've said and heard last night too

... it does NOT change the fact that it was obviously someone not from EA. The Spartans have a great racial diversity and are quite proud of it!

thats funny because it was about 30 people following us and they were wearing EA shirts and body paint... and there was a reason i put EA fans not EA students...
