Jesuit / Brother Martin is always big. St. Paul and Fountainebleau lately on the Northshore. Lafayette/Acadiana as well. St. Martin's and Newman is pretty big as well.

I know LHS vs Acadiana is always a huge game. LHS vs Carencro also.
I've never seen as many people at a game when we played Jesuit, so I guess that too.

East Ascension vs St Amant is a big rivalry. The schools are back in the same district for the first time in 6 or 7 years, so it should be two great games this season.
Catholic--Br vs Baton Rouge HS is a big rivalry
Episcopal-BR vs University is always good too

I don't agree with Jesuit vs any Lafayette team. Acadiana and Jesuit had a couple of intense games. Lafayette and Jesuit had a heated rivalry, people who hated soccer would travel to New Orleans to watch us play them. I just dont see any other lafayette team having that rivalry.

Actually both lafayette and acadiana have had a long history with jesuit. the rival is strong with both teams.
I bet you haven't been to a acadiana jesuit game in New Orleans. trust me just as many people go to that game as the lafayette jesuit game, i know because i have attended both.

I bet you haven't been to a acadiana jesuit game in New Orleans. trust me just as many people go to that game as the lafayette jesuit game, i know because i have attended both. What are we talking about here...a rivalry or an atmosphere? An intense atmosphere makes a great rivalry, and a great rivalry needs an intense atmosphere. For this to happen, district rivalries are the fiercest. BM vs. Jesuit or Acadiana vs. Laffy is nowhere near the same atmosphere (and I mean everyone is into the passion of the game down to the side refs) as BM vs. Acadiana or Jesuit vs. Laffy. Now don't get me wrong, the latter games are good rivalries, but they are not great ones. Intra-district rivalries play for both state and district, and the fiercest games I've seen are ones that involve the Jays and Saders. Sometimes, the ADs have to pick students out of the crowd that are beening to provoking to the other side. It reminds me of a toned down version Old Trafford or something.
