All good points and I agree, but 35 players or not when you miss your top players it will affect you. However, I am stating that it would be fair either way, if they remained at number one because of those reasons, or if the voters believed that with the win STM should be number one. Both teams are great and nothing is certain until playoff time. were the missing players starters?

like i said lol, one was with his NOSA team in some california tournament that they went to, and the other injured himself in the jesuit game and it was still bothering him on saturday, and now that i think of it, another starting defender, not all state, didnt play either because of an injury isnt it against lhsaa rules to pla with your club team curing HS season? I believe you are right. last year we checked into sending some players to a combine during Thanksgiving and were told by LHSAA that they could absolutely not participate with another team, even out of state, during the HS season. The result would have been forfeiture of eligibility. I would suggest that the coach of the team make a determination of eligibility prior to playoffs. If they make it far and the kid plays, someone may (and should) complain. Most of the girls that I know playing select late into the select season do not start practicing with the HS team until select is over. If the kid mentioned above has not "joined" his HS team, then I do not believe he is in violation of the rule. By the way, if you add my opinion to two pennies, you will stall have only two cents worth of opinion (but I think darn good advice)

im sorry but people need to get over the name of the team and just rank teams on records when you look at the ncaa no name teams get ranked all the time because they have successful records......NISH should atleast get some votes this week they are 5-1 and just beat laffy although i still think laffy is overrated this year....and terrebonne should be ranked theyve won two different tournaments people just need to rank upon results not on the name as well as teams like Caddo should be higher ya they play no one however they returned essentially their whole team from last year

no bc ranking by record puts bad teams with easy schedules on top of good teams with hard schedules.

what i cant understand is how, for days now, Timaeus has allowed the misspelling of his alma mater next to jesuit's name in the rankings.

Begun in 1999 as LAprepSoccer.com, it has released weekly rankings each week since. Its voters are from throughout the state. Looks like Div III arguments are beginning to work themselves out. Lots of "red" and "blue" in the top 10, which in turn should shake it up nicely for next weeks rankings. Only 3 teams according to your stats, finished the week all "green," U-High, Episopal, and STA. Timeaus, you do a great job helping us keep up with the goings on in the state. Thanks
