Everyone should see this movie. There may be less bashing of players and refs if we all see it. One walks out the theater a changed person. God Bless you all.

Why is there controversey. It is the same story that has been told for 2000 years. I believe that there is a movement to lessen catholic influence with the sex scandel stories and now the ridiculing of this movie. Too bad it doesn't seem to be working. This movie is powerfull in its imagery. I believe any christian person should see this movie.

The controversy is that the movie is anti-Semitic, which is anti-Jewish, since some see it as bringing back the old thing about how the jews are responsible for the death of Jesus. I think that the only way a person can get that out of this movie is if they go in their with an Anti-Semitic point of view.

I'm curious about one of your statements in the posting above. My question is would you rather the sex scandal stories be hushed up and just let the pedophiles continue what they have been doing for many, many years? Blame the guilty parties if the sex scandal stories have lessened the Catholic influence, not the reporters or victims. Good observation. I think he means that the whole deal with the priests mollesting kids was blown way out of proportion, and made to look like it was happening everywhere. It's still been a mark of shame for Catholics though, hopefully things have changed.

One thing is for certain that the priests are not the whole Catholic Church. The church will survive regardless of what these savage priests have done. The church is its people! Praise Jesus,Mary, and Joseph this day and every day! In short JMJ!

No one who goes into these movies without anti-semitic feelings will come out of it with them. Besides, did the Jews perform the scourging? No. Did the Jews place the crown of thorns on his head? No. Did the Jews perform the crucifixion? No. They condemned him, but if this movie is anti-anything (and it isn't) it's anti-ancient romans.
