Let's say LSU had a soccer team. What would it look like this year if it was able to keep the top LA players in Louisiana and not get any plalyers from out of state?
Forwards (3): Jason Garey, Joseph Lapira, Dwayne Jones
Midfield (4): Will Wilson, Nick Barcelona, Joey Belfour, William Bagayoko
Defense (3): Jamie Planells,
Keeper (1): Britton Chauvin
On the bench:
Forwards: Casey Steen, Chris Arnold, John Tilghman
Midfielders: PJ Kee, Jon Menard, Shawn Picou, BJ Neilsen
Defenders: Kyle Schuford, Peter Ostroske, Jonathan Benoit
Keeper: Paul Slocum

recent years from Lafayette area:
Forwards: Justin Angelle, Seth Breaux Mids: Matt DeClouet, Gary Glass Defenders: Chris Hoffpauir, Dustin Menard Keeper: Ben Roberts (best keeper to not play highschool his junior and senior season)
These are some. I have a little bias, but I think Hoffpauir and Roberts are easy picks for that team.

1 Defender?
But yeah, I'd have to agree that your lineup is pretty accurate. I'd love to see them all on the field at the same time.

John Tilghman? Is he the current U-18 player?
If so, I can come up with at least 1 forward on ten teams who would be more worthy.

hmm idk...i think mike leblanc belongs in that list more so than joey belfore. hes a good player but i think hes overrated and cocky. its easy to score as many goals and have the stats that he does when you play for a team like Lafayette. i just think that more team orriented players like mike leblanc are a bit more deserving.

How about Marco or Sean from Rummel's team last year. I kniw Marco and like 4 other really good players from Louisiana went to Cumberland College and are doing really well. I think they are Marco, Wilson, Pierron, and Ray. Any News.

I must have accidentally deleted the other two starting defenders, and I don't recall who I put down. I'll leave it up to you to decide the starting line up.
Anyone else want to put down their top 11 from the last 4 years?

Who was the player from St. Louis High who played a couple of years ago when they won State? I think he was #11 . I recall him as a great midfielder. Wasn't he the MVP for Div.III?

Nothing against Belfour, but Chris Arnold is a better player.

Tilghman is not a forward, but a center midfielder. I played with him this fall and he scores some, but he can really place the ball and somehow gets it to the scorers. I was shocked how good he does that.

That was Jay Honore. I'm pretty sure he should be considered for that list.

Westgate and its players should not be involved in this discussion.

Players from 2000 like Lambert are not on this list because that would be 5 years ago (players taken from 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001).
Honore was a good player, but I would not have him on my list of the top 11 in the past 4 years. He might be on the third team at midfield -- a top 30 player in the last 4 years, which is still an accomplishment, meaning that on average, he was among the top 8 players in the entire state when he played.
I agree that Westgate has never produced a player worthy of mention on this list. Could that change in five years? They did beat a couple of top 5 teams last year didn't they?
