Jeremy Wimer also plays forward and his face is the spitting image of Wayne Rooney, if you know who that is. Hint: He doesn't play for Dutchtown.

I played odp w/ Jermey. That is one scary kid. I would definately not want to go 50/50 ball w/ him. very good goalie and an animal on the field.

My vote goes to Joey Belfoure. He scored over 50 goals against one the toughest schedules in the state as a Jr. He will come close to the same this season.

another to watch out for is STM's Brian Dooley. The guys extremely quick and i think his team not being up to its usual status as a powerhouse in Division II may be hurting him. He has a great presence on the field and is amazing with the ball at his feet. Look out for him.

are there any good players up north? all everyone talks about is guys down south...i know that there are more better players down south but c'mon...there are some good players up here...i can name about 5 good players that carry their team from up north...probably the best 5 players up here
Todd Faulkinberry- Parkway Nick Orta- Loyola Jeremy Wimer- Captain Shreve Travis Wimer- Captain Shreve Laz Whittington- Loyola
I don't really know alot of people that go to Magnet so i couldn't say the good players from there but i do know they will have a solid team like they always do...Todd will carry Parkway...He is a good all-round player...

Nick Orta plays on Burn and watching him...hes doing great and Travis Wimer- Captain Shreve, Laz Whittington- Loyola both play on Burn also and Travis told us that he was gunna try getting hes bro to come play for Burn in the spring also and yes everyone of those players are good.

ooo well i wont dispute that they are all good players...but do they match up to the talent of the southern areas...i dont think so. These are your best players and i know for a fact that the burn isnt NEARLY as good as they were b 4 these guys joined. They are good players and i dont think any coach would mind having them on their squad, but lets not kid ourselves. They are no Joey belfoures or micheal leblancs or joseph lapieras here.

I dont think you can consider Travis Wimer one of the better players in the state...until he learns that the dribble isnt the only offensive weapon. Distribution is essential to overall team play. Playing for the "me" doesn't help the team. There are some good defenders in Dist.1. How did Jeremy Wimer make All-City defender without the guys in front of him? Beck makes a strong case for one of the better defenders in the state. How many balls did he clear off the line last year to prevent goals??

I saw this kid Caleb Steele, who someone told me plays for Northshore. He played for Platense in the Islano league this fall. I asked around and several peeps said he's one of the best defenders in the state.

All i have to say is watch out for Como's (yes i said como) sweeper this year. hes a little short guy who can play. hes played center midfield i believe since he was a freshman but he may move to sweeper this year. hes fast and is really physical for a little guy.
With that said....who are the good defenders in the south? i dont really remeber anyone who stuck out besides the guys who graduated last year.

Sulphur's Aaron Williams was overlooked for the most part as a defensive player, but he was always put on the other teams best player and did as good as you can expect someone to shut them out.

Yeah, there are definitely some northern players that get overlooked. I like your list but add Kyle Davis #2 from Airline. He's got a pretty good game.
