Don't be surprised if a young Caddo Magnet team puts up a fight at St. Pauls. Last year, they defeated St. Pauls and tied Vandebilt Catholic and Mandeville. Their very capable on both sides of the field, and are sure to put up a fight throughout.

This tournament has 5 of the state's Top 10 schools in Div I, in my ledger -- Catholic, St Paul's, Central Lafourche, Rummel and Mandeville. (not playing - Jesuit, Acadiana, Brother Martin, Lafayette and Capt Shreve).
Also has the #1 and # 2 in Div. II- Vandebilt and Ben Franklin; and # 1 in Div. III - Newman
Add in Northshore, Caddo Magnet, and St Thomas Acquinas, it will be a good tournament.
I see a trend in my predictions. It took me several days to study the brackets, and here is what I figure:
St Paul's Catholic vs. Vandebilt Catholic in one semi. Rummel Catholic vs. Catholic Catholic in the other.
I predict a catholic side will win it all ;D

I think Mandeville may surprise some people, I'm going to root for them to come out of their bracket, then St. Paul's Rummel and Catholic

Although the southshore seems to have been hard hit by rain, sleet and snow, the weather conditions in Covington have not been bad enough today to cancel or reschedule any tournament games. We have had a bit of drizzle earlier today which has ended. The fields are in very good condition and should get even better as the tournament progresses. It will be cool on Sunday (about 50-60), but all games are in the afternoon and it is expected to be sunny all day. Monday, when most bracket games are played, should be cool in the morning but sunny and warmer by the afternoon. Given the time of year, the weather looks to be quite good for the tournament. Hope to see you there!

there have been a few changes to the tournament.... Houma teams can't reach the northsore, all blocked off... They have rescheduled them later today and expect the bridges to open so they can be there on time

The Rummel players gave a lot of respect to the young BRMHS team. I'd like to thank them for that.

They should--BRMHS is a good, solid team.

Also, consider BRHS was playing without several of their starters and Rummel scored their second goal with less than a minute in the game.
