I can not wait until the high school soccer season starts. Then all of these teams talking trash will shut there mouths. If you notice all of the good teams are not talking trash (i.e. Brother Martin, Jesuit, Acadiana, St. Louis, Newman, etc..) I don't know, maybe its just me but maybe there is a pattern here. If you notice the teams that talked the most crap before the season seemed to do the worst (i.e. Opelousas Catholic, Westgate, most teams up north, etc..). Most not even making the playoffs. Yet the above mentioned teams seem to be not talking any trash before the season. Maybe there is a pattern seeing how all these teams did good this year. Also if you notice this year, some good teams are talking trash (i.e. St. Martin's, STA). Maybe they do not see the continuous pattern of trash talking teams doing the worst. Maybe they should take light of these patterns and stop talking. Let your field play do all the talking and there is nothing anyone can say to rebuke your claims of being the best. After all its just high school soccer.

Neither St. Martin's nor STA have been talking trash. All STA has said is that they will be good this year and have a shot at state (which is legitimate thinking considering how few people they lost, and how they took the state-runners up to overtime). All STM has said is that they have a very talented group of young players that may get their stuff together by the end of the season(Which is also legitimate thinking since that is just a fact, you can't really argue against that point). These are simply logical statements. Nobody is saying "STA rules all, we're gonna go undefeated and kill everyone this year" likewise with St. Martin's. If your definition of talking trash is simply talking about the FACTS of your team, than you have a bad definition of what trash-talking is. Plus, not everyone that posts on this web-site is a member of the team or even the school, the people that are "talking trash" just may be random people blowing wind, and they should be taken with a grain of salt. So before you write your doctoral thesis paper on the direct corrolation between teams that "talk trash" and their performance on the field, rethink your idiotic position.

I never said St. Martin's was good fool, I said that their young team is better than Opelousas Catholic and Parkview. STA is going to be a really good team this year. I believe they will make it to the finals at least. They have a lot of potential. I'm unsure about Newman. Of course they aren't going to have a bad team; do they ever? But alls I know is that they have chris arnold. St. Louis will suck without Lapira, so don't expect much from them. I didn't see much when I saw Loyola play last year in the playoffs. If they want to go anywhere, they will have to learn to play as a team. Do not forget about them they have a very talented young group of kids that will shock the world. St. Martins has been in the playoffs every year they are as consistent as they come. Also they have the best coaching staff in the state. And as for lapaira he was completely shut down in the state finals stl was shutdown. These are just a few examples, i can find more if you would like. Talking trash about this year and last, no difference. All I hear is yall screaming St. Louis will suck without Joseph Lapira, sounds like trash to me.

Another Thread Titled "St Thomas Aquinas will Win State" in which sta writes Just so you know we return 9 starters from a team that beat Newman at Newman last year. St Louis beat us but it was close. Since they lost two of their three best players from last year, we are better than them. We're preseason #1 and will stay there.

People St.Louis is not going to suck with out Joseph Lapera. They happen to have played in the state finals last year. You dont get there by having one person. They know how to play within the system. The system is there, they may be more dangerous becuase the system they play is very explosive, and now they can use it, not just sit and watch Joe Lapera dribble and whine. Now the whole team is going to be involved in the game. So dont for one Second think that St.Louis is going to be weak.

This guy is really smart. He thinks that since one person who claims to be a member of St. Martin's or St. Thomas Aquinas "talks trash", than that will mean that they will suck this year. Nice Logic buddy. Watch how I will ruin Newman's season right now..."All bow down to Newman...nobody will touch us this year"...and how about this one "Jesuit is the best team in the state...we're gonna kill everyone"...wanna see Brother Martin go down too?..."Brother Martin is the best team in the history of the world, everyone else sucks." So there you go fellow soccer players, you dont have to worry about playing Jesuit, Newman, St. Martin's, Brother Martin, or St. Thomas Aquinas this year....because according to this idiot, they will automatically suck because I, i mean they, were talking trash. Beware, if any posts appear on this web-site that even remotely resemble trash-talk, no matter who says it, you may as well not even play your season.

yeah "wow" makes a good point. That other guy should shut his mouth. He was "talking trash" by saying those teams were talking trash...does that mean his team will go down in flames too? Please tell us oh wise sage, why shouldn't the same thing happen to you?
