soccerwatcher, who do you think are the top players in the state, not just the N.O. area?

i haven't had the opportunity to watch all of the teams. but from what i've seen so far, #10 and #13 from acadania, julia vaughn from magnet, and rachel alexander from parkway. a player that i think is underrated, or not even noticed at all is julie rew from magnet. she moves well on and off the ball, and she does many good things with the ball. she thinks without the ball. and in soccer this is very important, but it seems like we don't realize this yet. my opinion on good players seems to be different from everyone else's though. i like to look at the player as a whole. how they can play as well as THINK the game. i don't care who did what last year, or who can kick the ball the furthest. that seems to be what is wrong with soccer in louisiana. i didn't grow up in louisiana, so i've seen a higher level of soccer than what is being played here. it almost seems like we promote the "long ball" style of play. i'll go back to baton rouge high. they like to play long ball, kick and run, and people seem to think that this is good soccer. in the games i watched them play, not once did they try to build up an attack, they just knocked it long and chased. in other states, a majority of our varsity teams would be considered jv teams, boys and girls.
