If Carencro was the better team, they get a chance to prove it tonight when they play Comeaux. This district will be a lot clearer in 12 days. Next week Acadiana plays Barbe & Lafayette High: Comeaux plays Carencro & Barbe and on 12/20 Barbe plays Lafayette High. Should be a very interesting 12 days.

12/8-ASH 4-Ouachita 2. Rachel Miller gets the first goal, ASH 1-0 at half. Lindsay Pharis gets a quick two for ASH, followed by two for Ouachita. Pharis completes her hat trick for the final score, late in the 2nd half. Nice and cooooold for the fans.

goahsrams,
My information was that NISH scored the first goal for AHS themselves. Who got credit for that goal?

St Joe's 1 Woodlawn 0
Well fought defensive game for Woodlawn. After a scoreless 1st Half, St. Joe found the back of the Woodlawn goal halfway thru the 2nd Half for the games only score. Woodlawn played 90% of the game on their side of the field and the defensive unit played a superlative game against a larger and more acclaimed team.

12/10 St Joes 1 Woodlawn 0 0-0 at the half. If my info is correct either WHS has gotten better or St Joes on cruise control waiting for BRHS & St Amant.

goahsrams, My information was that NISH scored the first goal for AHS themselves. Who got credit for that goal? Well I got that from the Advertiser, I was unable to attend the game. I suppose that if there is a Own Goal, then the last AHS player will be credited for it, as in the game vs. Sulphur.

Pope John Paul 3 Redemptorist 2
This was a great game. Both teams played hard. Questionable call on a goal awarded to Pope after a corner. Middle ref said no, line judge said yes, they talked, and said it crossed the line, goal awarded. Go figure.
Both teams played pretty evenly and it was the kind of game a coach likes to watch, coach etc....
Kudos to both squads!!

Terrebonne High School - Central Lafourche Tournament
Terrebonne 2 - HLB 1 Terrebonne 4 - Ellender 0 Terrebonne 14 - # 2 Central High School 0 Terrebonne 2 - E.D. White 0 (semi finals) Terrebonne 0 - Vandebilt 4 (finals)
Good tournament showing for Terrebonne. 5 games in 18 hours proved too much for Terrebonne. Played the last game with 4 starters injured and not dressed for the final game. Vandebilt is a very strong team with a lot of depth and showed their strength. They will meet again Thursday in a scheduled match at Terrebonne. Hopefully THS will have their starters back and ready to go. If so, it should be a much better game. If not, it could be another long night. Congratulations to Vandebilt on their tournament championship.

Airline 3 Captain Shreve 2
Airline wins in the 1st overtime off a corner kick. Lady Vikings are now 7-1, 3-0 in district play.

Airline actually got all 3 goals off corner kicks. They are becoming North Louisiana's version of the Cardiac Kids. 3 district wins, 1 in OT, 1 in the second OT, 1 on PKs. This was a fun game to watch. Both teams played well and each had numerous chances to score. Another example of the parity in District 1. 5 matches played so far among the top 5 teams. 4 have gone to OT and Byrd beat NC 3-2 in the other. If I'm not mistaken the final score in each of those 5 matches has been 3-2.
