Thanks for sharing the Barbe experience. As the parent of a player in a program that is tsill growing and developing, it is great to see what is possible with parental support. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about your trip and found myself checking after each game to see how the girls fared. Sounds like they had a great tournament experience and a trip that will provide memories for a lifetime. Thanks for sharing with us.

Great story, and I enjoyed reading the detailed posts on the games. This is a trip these girls will remember for a lifetime, regardless of the scores. Kudos to you for putting it all together, and telling us the tale.

Hey Barbedad....you forgot to mention which knight won the joust? ;-) It came as no surprise to me when the Green Knight (who we called "Acadiana") was the evil knight and lost in the final battle with the "White Knight" which everyone cheered for. Great show and I highly recommend it. Thanks for all of you who followed The Adventures of Barbe Lady Bucs in Los Angeles and for all the kind remarks about the stories. I would be remiss if I did not thank all the Barbe Girls and Parents who raised the money for this great trip. I will take a small part of the thanks but the most thanks go to all the Barbe Parents who have built the finest soccer complex in the state and jumped on board to make this trip possible. On top of great parental support, we have at Barbe a principal that is a huge supporter of Barbe Soccer (Yes, it helps that her daughter plays on the JV team!!)

Barbedad, how did the teams Barbe played fair in the tournament? Did Foothill (CA) go the farthest?
