Newman 2 E.D. White 0
Both teams had multiple chances to score early. Newman controlled most of the game. E.D.W. seemed passive today. # 2 and # 11 seemed to be alone today for EDW. They just didn't seem to have it. Newman took advantage of a break down in the defense to score in the second half. Their second goal came on a free kick from about 25 yards out. Bounced through the box and hit offf a defenders leg to leave the goalie in the wrong position. Congrats to Newman and good luck. Great year E.D. White girls.

Well, sosoplayer24 look like we didn't see the same game, I take offense to your "EDW seems passive today". Newman was dominating the whole game it is true but could not find the mark until late in the game. The very fact that they kept on switching sides of their attack is proof enough that EDW, who had opted for a very defensive line up, was holding them back. Newman scored 15 mn before the end of the game on the only defensive mistake that Newman is so famous at exploiting. Another thing, Newman shot something like 15 corner kick and none of them went in. EDW came close to score a few time and fought hard at mid-field. EDW girls knew they were the underdog. they were determine to put up a fight and to take their chances and they did. Newman is an excellent team that deserves alot of respect. that was a classy win congratulations to them. But EDW girls were anything but passive.

A very defensive game indeed by EDW. Their right mid never left the side of Newman's left mid, marking her the whole game and stating that she could not make a run because she had to stay on Newman's #20.
A narrow and slick field certainly played into the outcome of this game.

Sorry to offend soccerbruno. I didn't mean that EDW didn't work hard. I've seen them play several times this year and just thought they didn't have that spark that I'm used to seeing. I also didn't see them as an underdog in this game. I really expected them to win today. I just thought they never engaged the game. I think Newman was lucky to catch them on a day where they were a little off. I still say congrats to EDW on a good year and again I'm sorry if my post offended anyone. I'm a EDW fan and will continue to pull for them.

Sacred Heart PJP.
Any word out there on the outcome of this game so as to finalize the semis in this Division?
Also, any details on the Parkview game?

Hey LSUmike84, SH would be able to beat Div I schools with no problem ! I'm partial to them because I know the quality of the coaching, and at this level, that's what it's all about !
