Not 100% confirmed but I have been told by people who should know the official procedure that there would be a playoff game played between the 2 teams regardless of goal differential.
Someone who knows for certain, please confirm

Dist. 6 Matchup
1/26/07
Hahnville 0
Destrehan 1
Well played game by both. Destrehan scores on well-played cross in 1st half. Hahnville plays 2nd half one player down for 30 minutes and shutouts DHS.
Hahnville wins district championship on goal average in district play tie breaker.
Destrehan will enter playoff as #2 team from District 6.
Obvious both teams came to play tonight, great district season by both teams!

Sorry H.H.S. did not play 1 player down. The girl got 2 yellow cards and have to leave the feild and was allowed to be replaced. So it was 11v11 all game and D.HS. SHUTOUT H.H.S ALL GAME.

The player received a yellow in the first half and a straight red in the second half and was not subbed for. Hahnville did indeed play with 10 for the last 30 minutes.

atb77, what was your vantage point: sidelines or stands?

I was at the game last night and I saw #17 get a straight red in the second half (after receiving an earlier yellow) and I believe Hahnville did play 10 v 11 for the majority of the 2nd half. I'm sure tigertail and tbiff will let us know. The only subbing I saw was for #12 who appeared to be having breathing problems throughout the game and briefly for Ashley Eusea (#16)

SIDELINE; HHS STARTING STOPPER LEFT AT HALFTIME FOR A SCHOOL PLAY. #17 GOT THE STRAIGHT RED BECAUSE IT WAS HER SECOND YELLOW. THE REF. DOES NOT HAVE TO SHOW THE SECOND YELLOW.

oh my . . . I was at the HHS vs DHS game as well. #2 did leave at half for a school play, #17 did get a red card in 2nd half and HHS did play 10 vs 11 after that red card for a majority of the 2nd half. it was a very intense game.
