Lafayette Referee Association will be hosting an entry level referee clinic this Feb. 21, 23, 28, March 2, and 3. It will start at 6PM at Parkway Plaza, 2nd floor, 201 Energy Pkwy, Lafayette. Cost is $20 for clinic and $40 for USSF registration. See link below. www.lra-soccer.com/All coaches, players, and parents (especially those who yell nonstop at the officials ;D ) are welcome and encouraged to attend. We currently have a HUGE shortage of officials and would very much like to increase our numbers. I think it would be within reason to ask that each team (Rec., D1, and Premier) should have at least one representative of their team to be certified to help with the shortage. thanks, hope to see you there. cards

Make a few slips of paper with the basic information such as dates, email contact, etc.
Before your games, ask the players who is interested in becoming a referee
Hand out papers prior to games, take note of response
In my area of responsibility (another state), I got 60 prospects in this manner
Good luck

Why is it that I was charged $60 for the class and another $40 to get the license when I took it with BRSA last August? BRSA overcharging?
