"Hopefully we can give the same effort and have a good clean game with three good teams on the field (third being the officials) next week in Baton Rouge." What is this, no respect for Natchitoches? Yert, what say you? Being a coach, you won't hear me say anything to disrespect another team. My posts on the site are 95% reporting of our results. I wish both teams the best of luck!! And Good Luck to EVERYONE in the Playoffs!!

I was so glad that Dewey beat Truman. Wow, this was funny. The sad part is most players are asking their parents what 2 teams they were!!

First upset in the making...... New Iberia 2 T-bone 0 late in second half. Lafayette 2 Ruston 0 Final Mandeville 10 John Ehret 0 SSA 9+ West Jefferson 0 Dominican 6 Central LaFourche 0 Not that anyone cares but the Ruston keeper last night played an amazing game, I think she may have had 30 plus saves and I just thought she deserved a little recognition for holding a very good Lafayette team to only two goals. This keeper is also only a soph.

New Iberia just plain ole took it to Terrebonne. They out played them. It was a physical game but nothing new. New Iberia had more speed. Terrebonne had their chances but just couldnt put one in.

Congrats to NISH in their win over T-Bonne. Great job Dwayne.
The keeper did have a fantastic game and yes she did have about 30 saves. And yes Laf did put 10 or so through the uprights. Do you realize how hard that is to do from inside the 6? I have to say that they weren't toe poked though. I just think it may have had something to do with them counting the stars while they shot. (leaning back so much-ha ha) They definitely did not capitalize on scoring opportunities like they did against St. Louis. Could have easily been a 7 or 8 goal night with just the point blank shots.
Hats off to the Ruston team for playing hard the whole game. Definitely no quit in this team. And also a GREAT JOB by the Ruston keeper, she is probably one of the best we've seen this year. She will be a keeper for colleges to keep an eye on.

I am sorry NC fans, I didn't mean any disrespect. I saw the Ruston score and had a brain fart thinking that NC had already lost. I would love for NC to win so we could take a short bus ride instead of going to Baton Rouge. It is kinda funny though how instead of reading a post for what people are saying that people look for negatives in the words. Oh well, we will just try to concentrate on our team and how we play and let the other stuff work out.

Recap of Tbone/NISH game? Anybody? anything? Care to share? NISH came to play as expected. Scored on a great cross in the first half and momentum was on their side from then on. I never saw Tbonne get it going the way I expected. I know the NISH defense had a lot to do with that. It looked like the game plan was to never let # 4 get behind them. They played their sweeper deep all night and it worked perfectly. Jess had several good runs but just couldn't get past the last defender. The second goal came on a break away where the Tbonne defense just got sucked up to high and it was over quickly. Both teams played extremely hard and left everything on the field. From the stands I would say the refs did an OK job and it was a clean game. Physical but clean. My opinion is that Tbonne should have taken advantage of the off time and scheduled a tune up game to get ready for a team with more speed and skill than they have been facing in district play. NISH plays in a good district and has been pushed over the last few weeks as opposed to the 5-0 and 6-0 games Tbonne has been playing. Hats off to NISH on a well earned victory. Same to Tbonne on a good season.
