Players' parents entrust me to protect their children while playing and I do. I accept that responsibility as a referee. Young referees' parents entrust me to do the same thing with their children. I accept that responsibility as well. To coaches and parents, if you harass and yell at my AR, you will be told to cease. You do not get to put your two cents in about how he/she missed an off side. If you do not cease, you will be gone. Coach, if you don't have a backup coach, then you get to explain to your team why they could not finish playing their game. Don't believe me? Try me! Nuf said!

Sounds pretty clear to me and I feel the same way you do. Mess with my ARs (especially young ones) and you won't be around for very long. It applies equally to spectators, players and coaches.

I am also quite protective of my ARs. I have thick skin, the whistle, and the cards.
My ARs must depend on me for protection.
My pre-game starts with, "First rule - my ARs take no grief."
