Should be a good test for the SS. ED Cullen, a former Jesuit standout plays for them. Mobile (NAIA) finished last year with a 5-7-3 record. Not very impressive but they played a tough schedule. Last year Mobile beat Cumberland (14-6 record) - Former LA standouts Shaun Picou and Gino Ray played for Cumberland. Mobile lost to AUM (23-2 record) - Former LA standouts Marco Monteil and Will Willson played for AUM. SS should handle them fairly well. I predict 4-1.

Edward is a player who had so much potential, but has been nagged with injuries throughout his career. He missed allot of high school and club and at West Virginia Weslyan he played very little after an injury. It is ashame that the rest of the group you mentioned didn't go on to play at a higher level (D-2 or D-1). Wilson was such a great player, but turned down UAB and has not taken his game up to the level it could have been. He needed to do PDL as did Gino and the rest, but they hated KF so much that they failed to see beyond that to use him for their growth.53601 post=1143771858]Should be a good test for the SS. LafU - Hated KF so much - Very strong language - I think most if not all of those players played for KF during their youth years and won several state championships. I agree that something is wrong that more of the local college players aren't playing PDL, but lets wait and see, classes don't finish until May. Hopefully some will join the team.

You are correct that they won 5 or 6 state championships, but in their last year U-18, they had enough and went onto NOSA and Carrollton. I know that they got together again as U-19's (except Will W) when KF had left. I don't think that KF is a bad coach, he is just having trouble getting local players. From what I have heard, Josh Merchant and John Tilghman will be coming on after they get home and that they are playing U-19 for the Cajun Burn. I should have gone to the game. Big Baby and T-Rex fumbled, stumbled and rumbled, while I cried in my lemon iced tea. Bummer. Anyhoo, how did the Shockers do?
