Predictions and thoughts.
SSA has won two consecutive state titles. Can Mike and the lady Doves bring the title back home to the northshore for the third year in a row?
Dominican has a great coach as well. I have coached against Al many times. Lots of respect for him.
IMO..... 3 peat for the doves.

The Dominican girls have been battle tested in High School and have won state championships in Club season. This time a healthy Dominican trims the girls from SSA and brings the trophy to the South shore.

Okay I will be the first to say it....
Thank God we have a final between 2 New Orleans area teams that the game will be played in New Orleans and not 5 hours away in Shreveport. Should be a great crowd for the game.

tchefuncta, Dominican may take home the title however I have to believe SSA is just as battle tested and I have to believe with MSC winning the U17,U16, and U15 girls premier state cup last year that they too have players with many club championships under their belt, not too mention a few high school championships too. If championships are won off experience than the edge goes to SSA in this one. However, championships aren't won with experience, just ask the Steelers, it should be a great game and one I am looking forward to watching.

barbedad20, seems only fitting they play at home since they don't travel during the regular season. What I mean is, New Orleans area teams whether it be Northshore area or those across the lake, they only leave when they have to during playoffs.
Should be a good game, I am pulling for Dominican to frustrate the doves enough to possibly pull it off. Should be a good one.
Good luck to both teams you've earned the right to be there.

Sokerfan, good thing you wrote good luck to both teams at the bottom otherwise I would have thought you were hating on two teams and coaches who are in the game you wish your team was playing in.
I bet the atmosphere in New Orleans will be great for both players and fans.

What I mean is, New Orleans area teams whether it be Northshore area or those acros the lake, they only leave when they have to during playoffs. Mandeville annually travels to the Pineville tourney and I think SSA goes to one in Lafayette or lake charles. Because of their longer than average district schedule, they don't have the luxury of traveling in December to play non-district matches

cornerkick2, got your feathers ruffled? Mission accomplished.
happyjack, Pineville tourney? Did they play anybody there? They could have crossed the road to Mandy and played somebody in the Mandy tourney. Case closed.

They could have crossed the road to Mandy and played somebody in the Mandy tourney. Case closed. Well, gee Wally. You sId they dont travel except for playoffs. What you really meant was they don't travel to play quality teams? Just say what you mean next time. I would also point out that Mandy won the central lafourche tourney, but likely that caliber of soccer doesn't meet your qualifications either

Wow sokerfan, you are being quite childish and petty. Both on this thread and the div II all district. Just no reason for it. Season is over, move on...

Congrats to both Dominican and SSA for getting to the finals. I have seen both teams play and my daughter has played with and against some key players on both squads. Once again, I will have to give the nod to SSA. Coach Mike knows how to get his players to play at a high level in the playoffs. I honestly didn't see them beating Mt. Carmel in the semis, but they did. It should be a great game. Good luck to both teams.

I hate it when I'm right. (Missed on the Jesuit game though) Congratulations to both teams on great years. Now we move on to CFJ vs Mandeville for the spring.
