Why did St Amant decide to host the tournament at the two schools this year? The Orice Roth fields in Gonzales were so convenient for everyone to get to and it was all held at the one venue. Anytime a tournament is held at two or more locations there are more problems.
I wish you luck but think that Gonzales is a better place to hold the tournament than out in the country where the High School and Middle School is located.

Thought it was at Burbank in BR last year. Is it boys and girls?

One major problem with hosting it at the city parks is that if there is any kind of rain they can just cancel the games and leave all the teams that traveled down stranded and there is nothing the host school can do about it.

Can someone post the schedules for the tournament this weekend? Or, post a link to the schedules?

Very fast paced and exciting game with Westgate facing EA yesterday. But, the 2-0 score is deceiving. Only one actual goal scored by EA, second goal scored off of one of our defenders with a strong kick gone wrong in the box which raced over our keeper's head. Our keeper, Claire Broussard, played using only her right arm for the last 10-15 minutes of the game due to an injury to her left elbow sustained during play. It was a lot closer game than the score reflects. Great weekend playing against talented teams!

Score was 2-0 at the half, including the goal you mentioned. So, obviously, there was no scoring in the second half. EA had shot count 15-2 in their favor, so all the more credit to Westgate for bending and not breaking. Impressive. Did notice the GK with arm issue and certainly hope she is on road to recovery. Thanks for compliment on talented teams, again thought Westgate gave a really good account of themselves.

Just a reminder that Westgate did beat West-Monroe 2-0.

Not sure who you are reminding, but the score was 1-0 Westgate over West Monroe. West Monroe outshot Westgate and had more possession. But, Westgate made good on one of their few shots while West Monroe could not score. Good for Westgate.

I find when having to toot your own horn, the sound is a bit harsh.
