Once play is stopped for an injury, whether player requires further attention from staff and must leave the field,or player does not require attention and remains on the field, what are the substitution rules in both situations?

Once the referee determines the player is injured, then the player must be substituted. (3-3-1c)
Some may feel that if play is stopped for the injury, the referee has determined the player is injured, then the player must come off, this would follow 9-3-1 and 13-2-3b, that play is restarted with a drop ball or IDFK
The player must leave if either the referee determines that the player is injured or the trainer enters the field, explicitly. However if play is stopped to deal with the injured player, one could surmise that the player would also need to be substituted. Some referees may feel that if play is stopped to assess the injury and the referee determines the player can continue then the substiution would not be forced, however this is not addressed in NFHS rules.
There is no exception for goalkeepers or collisions of two players from one team in NFHS as there is in USSF.

Thanks VFTP--I didn't phrase my question quite right---My bigger question is ---Can players other than the injured player be substituted once play is stopped ? 1.If injured player is required to leave fieid 2.If injured player is allowed to continue play Rule3 Sec3 Art1c---Allows for unlimited subs from either team if player must leave field--Correct? If play is stopped, player allowed to stay on---No subs?

The substitution opportunity presents itself if the referee deciders the player is injured or the trainer is beckoned on the field.
Therefore it would appear that if the injured player must leave, then a substitution opportunity exists. If the sub has reported and checked in (other than the player repaving the injured, who may be from the bench) then unlimited substations may occur.
If the player does not leave, then it would follow there is no substitution opportunity, and the players would need to wait until there is a substitution opportunity.
So 1) yes 2) no
