Neat idea... I love getting athlete's involved in stuff like this. Makes you realize that as much as we love and sometimes argue about soccer, there are much bigger things.
Merry Christmas!

I want to thank Coach Goodall, the Lady Spartans, and all of the wonderful volunteers at East Ascension who worked so hard to pull off a great event. The balloon dedication and release was extremely touching for everyone involved. Our team was honored to be asked to participate and hope that we provided a positive influence to both the match against EA and the fund raising effort. We feel blessed to have participated in this event at this very special time of year. Sincerely, Paul Owen Zachary High Lady Broncos
Merry Christmas to all!

I had a chance to attend tonight and I was really impressed with the class and professional nature East Ascension Girls team showed by hosting this event. Super job by the participating schools--was very impressed by ALL the teams wearing specialty uniforms with the pink breast cancer awareness theme, refs were in pink jerseys, field was painted in pink lines and everything was done right. Pelican Sports filmed the game, there were door prizes, lots of food and donations and great atmosphere with all the proceeds of the three matches going to the Susan G Komen Foundation. Once again another class presentation and my props to EA Girls head coach Chris Goodall for putting the event on. We need more of this in youth and HS sports--especially at this time of year. Great job!!

Outside of the funds that are raised for this all important effort to find a cure for breast cancer, events like this truly help all involved to realize what is of utmost importance in life (faith, family and friends) and to also realize how blessed we all are to be able to play and coach this incredible game. Cheers Coach Goodall, thanks for your heart and helping everyone involved in the game to understand what is of first importance in life and to help make a difference for someone else! Wish I could have been there to see first hand!
Blessings, Coach Bruce

Thanks for the kind words guys. Event would have zero success if we're not for two entities: Parents running the show and rolling with it - magnificent! Other teams participation - players, coaches, fans, parents. Big thank you to Dutchtown JV girls, Zachary varsity girls and Central varsity boys.
Will post final dollar amount when all totaled.
