Lakeshore girls have continued to come together as the season has moved forward with a blending of personalities, talent, camaraderie and team get togethers that has made them the highest seeded public school in Division II tournament. Geaux Lady Titans..

Played both teams and both are very good teams. Calvary might not be quite as deep as Lakeshore but I believe their experience and coaching pulls the 3-2 victory. They have improved throughout the season and are firing on all cylinders.

I have to give Lakeshore the edge here. Pool fed from the Mandeville Soccer Club and tested against Div I teams. This group of ladies fell short last year so I think they are on a mission. And, bhssoccercoach, I'm sure the Lady Titans have also improved along the way as well. As an added measure, Lakeshore's depth will come into play. Its hard keeping your starters on the field for most of the game, it takes its toll. I'm seeing this one 3-1 Lakeshore.

Congrats to Lakeshore. It seem like teams will have to start paying attention to District 7. Of the eight teams that made it to the quarters, two came out of district 7 (Lakeshore - Public H.S. and Benjamin Franklin - Public/Charter). Lakeshore is ranked #1 and Franklin #2 in that district. I believe Franklin will have a harder task against #3 St. Louis, who may have the strongest team in the tournament, but win or lose Franklin is a team that has the potential to be much better next year. Good luck to all. No matter who makes it to the finals, I'll be there to watch some great soccer!
