6:03 and waiting on refs
FWIW Home team is always listed last regardless of score. Look at the ESPN ticker.

Heard the refs are coming from Lafayette and took a wrong turn. Traffic has been bad as well. Should be here in a minute.

Our High School season has finally come to an end. It has been a great ride, one I was hoping would last one more week. This has been a lot of fun getting to know some of you folks on here from other parts of the state. Well, sorta got to know. Well as well as you can get to know someone through a computer screen. High School soccer was a lot more fun than I could have ever imagined. I am really looking forward to next season.
On to Spring club soccer. Good luck to ASH and Episcopal. Play hard, have fun and enjoy every moment.

Could anyone share a re-cap of this game for us? I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I thought both teams came out strong with each getting some early chances but Episcopal defense was the strongest I have seen it this year and this was third time we have played them. Their first goal was on a shot that our Keeper probably normally saves but when she dove her side landed on the ball and squirted behind her and she could not grab it. Number 12 (Taylor I think and an 8th grader)scored all three of their goals. we actually had about 3 girls around her when she made this first shot from around the six and that could have also shielded our Keeper from getting a good look at the ball as it came to the goal. It was not a rocket.
We had a really good chance to tie it at 1 but a penalty in the box (legit penalty) nullified a goal.
The second goal was a back breaker. Less than a minute to go in the half and they clear the ball from their end and send it across midfield and 12 runs past our defender just past midfield. Defender gives chase and as 12 gets close to the 18 our Keeper starts to take a step out so the defender starts to take a route behind the Keeper but then the Keeper does not come out and it turns into a 1 v 1 and 12 wins. Some lack of communication on our part and 12 is very good. Also our defender was probably in decent position for most balls when 12 received the ball but at the point in the half probably should not have been so high and close to 12. In hind sight should have probably dropped back and contained instead of trying to deny the ball. I can say all of this because it was my daughter and she learned a lot from this game. She played really hard too, the whole team did as did Episcopal.
Third goal was late and we only had two defenders because everyone else was up attacking and they made a nice clear to 12 and she was able to get another 1 v 1 on our keeper and put it in the net.
Honestly, Episcopal really dominated this game. Our passe were not crisp and it seemed like there were 12 or 13 Episcopal players on the field because it looked like they were everywhere. Based on the two previous games I really thought we were evenly matched and maybe we were a little better and would win this game. Tonight Episcopal had other ideas and were the better team on the field, especially their defense. We could get no offensive momentum.
Any other University or Episcopal person please add to or correct. Some is what I saw and some is from talking to the University players and parents after the game.

Seems like Episcopal improved throughout the year, going from losing to winning to dominating. UHigh did not. That means a better Job was done by Episcopal coaches.

I think uhscubs1 did a great job reporting on the game. UHS won the first game, EHS won the second game in PKs and EHS dominated the third. I think one big difference in the games is that UHS is deadly on corner kicks and close to the goal throw ins. I have absolutely no idea what EHS did better than just luck to take this weapon out of the Cubs arsenal, but they did. EHS's ball movement was more deliberate. The icing on the cake was speed. UHS has a young team. I expect them to be even better next year.
