I know the Mandeville Soccer Club is well represented, but what clubs feed the top four in each of the divisions?

I know you said MSC is well represented, but do you know how well? MSC has players on both teams in the Div I finals, SSA, with a bunch and MCA with a couple. Prior to that, Fontainebleau in the quarterfinals, and Mandeville in the semi's. On Dominican's State Championship team from last year, the MVP of the finals and Gatorade Player of the Year, was a MSC product, as was the previous two years.

mydove4, don't forget Lakeshore, which is well represented from MSC. In fact there is a tremendous group of 97 girls (U15s) at MSC, resident in not one but two premier teams. Many of these girls were freshmen at either Lakeshore or Fountainebleau this season and they will be heard from in a big way before their high school careers are over. If Lakeshore did not exist, FHS would be even more stacked for the future than they already are.

That's true stlfan. What I understand is that one of the lead point getters is a '97 girl and they also had 2 other '97 freshman starters. I think if it wasn't for Lakeshore, FHS would be one of the top ranked teams for the next few years and they wouldn't have had to recruit like the private schools do.

stlfan, you're right, sorry about that, totally forgot about Lakeshore, and Northshore.
But truefan, "they wouldn't have to recruit like the private schools do", really? Care to explain? I don't believe the word "recruit" applies. I think parents are going to send their kids to private schools regardless if their kids play soccer. Besides, the private schools don't offer the kids anything to attend. I read another post somewhere that suggested private schools can offer more than a public school. And, I don't think he was referring to the education. Anyway, regardless, it just does not happen. I've been around MSC for a while and my daughter attended a private school. And, one last thing, FHS and MHS have been, and still are, two of the top ranked teams in Div I. They get talented players every year from the MSC pool.
miraddydad - I have no information about Sacred Heart or Ursuline. I would have to think they are products of the La Fire Team, a merger between Carrollton and Lakeview. Some of the older girls from MSC are now playing on the south shore as well.

CFJ-Louisiana Fire---SSA's winning goal was scored by a CFJ player as was the two goals scored by Mandeville's Delaney Sheehan in the quarterfinals. Vandebilt Catholic's core players have played and currently play or the Fire and have two club championships and 5 finals with that team. Dominican and Mt. Carmel personnel are all Louisisna Fire players as are the key players for Sacred Heart.
P.S. Go Kim, Carly. Whitney, Makelle and Lexie. Also Brooke, Chickie, Collette and Kristen. Have fun this weekend and bring back the Gold!

"And guess what, they all played an equal amount of time, every game. It had nothing to do with what schools they attended."
You must be kidding me...................

tchefuncta- SSA's winning goal scorer and Mandeville's scorer only recently changed clubs. They were MSC products most of their soccer career. By the way, one of Mt. Carmel's midfielders and their goalkeeper are also MSC products.
