barnacle: Yes. I think in a way a bigger market like Baton Rouge may be harder to get publicity in. The paper is much bigger and has things like LSU, the Saints, etc. to fill the pages. In small towns if you send them a nice write up with a good picture or two its a very good chance it'll get in. I do know in BR one of the TV stations have done a piece on soccer at least once (and probably more). It's a program called Sportsline OT run by chanel 9 I think. I know they had the Lutcher/St. Michael boys game a few weeks back and also had one of the girls games on that same broadcast. So there is some progress. I have noticed that in NO the Picayune has been running some articles on quarter and semi finals between the teams from that areas. Even including some pictures and some made the front page of the sports section. And there's things like coach Deritter's radio podcasts which I know the kids link up on facebook when they are mentioned. So yeah, there is progress. Just gotta keep the ball rolling. hannahspawpaw: "to be" most definitely . And just think how sweet it will be when a public school overcomes the odds and makes it! All the more reason to keep at it.
