A rematch of the last three state championship games. This time in the semifinals. What are your thoughts about this game?

Does higher seed automatically host in semi-finals? Otherwise Jesuit traveled last so they would host . . .

Traveled last doesn't matter anymore. If they've traveled the same, higher seed always hosts.

I thought the semifinal hosting decided by seeding didn't start until next year as well. And that the last team to travel gets to host.

Kevin's right per Section 6.13.9.4 -- based on the number of times teams have traveled. Each has traveled once, so SPS would host.

New to forum life here. I'm thinking if Kramer has a big day spreading it around, holding down the middle defensively, as well as stays on point with his corner's and free kicks(which he always is)...Jesuit can take it.

St. Paul's is the better team and should win if the SPS squad does not get hypnotized by the Jesuit mystique. I count 7 common opponents. Advantage SPS in that category. Going to be close, no doubt. Seems to me these teams have moved in different directions since last years final. .... I doubt this game is played any later than 3:30 saturday (mandated time if coaches can not agree on a time) as a parade will pass near the SPS campus saturday night.

The Wolves need to remain humble and hungry and the result will take care of itself. Special group of players and parents. Proud to be associated with St Paul's School and community. Geaux Wolves!

Not the same caliber of team Jesuit has had in recent years, but they are always at their best come playoff time. Should be another great game.

Game is scheduled for Sat Feb 22 @ 4 in Hunter Stadium. Great. Should wrap up just in time to get trapped by the parade.

Game is scheduled for Sat Feb 22 @ 4 in Hunter Stadium. Great. Should wrap up just in time to get trapped by the parade. If you head south from St. Paul's to 11th or 8th Street you should miss the parade traffic. I think the closest the parade route gets to the school is Jefferson and 17th Street.

Jesuit just hitting their stride like every year. False. They typically have a much better season record from the start. If you simply mean they are on a consistent winning streak heading into playoffs, then true.

Jesuit plays heart out, but St. Paul's is too good to overcome. St. Paul's by 1.
