Behind two goals from Sarah Benson, the Baton Rouge Charm women’s soccer team opened its season with a 4-1 victory against the New Orleans Heat on Saturday at Baton Rouge’s Premier Soccer Center.
Hannah Jobe and Paula Sanematsu added goals for the Charm, members of the Women’s Professional Indoor Soccer League. Catherine Grubb had seven saves.
Vaz Alcoser scored for New Orleans, which got 16 saves from Ashley Smith.
