Jesuit Class of '94 - Billy scored both goals for Jesuit in the 1994 State Championship loss to De La Salle. Billy was a great man, father, counselor, coach and player. He played college ball at College of Charleston and Univ. of Kentucky. More recently he played for Finn McCool's men's team, coached Lusher's middle school team and was a guidance counselor at Jesuit. I don't know what it is about left-footed players, but like Messi and Robben, Billy was a lethal one-footed wonder. We'll miss you buddy!

Sorry to hear about your and his family's loss. He was a great player and person.
He was also named 1994 Times Picayune New Orleans Metro Player of the Year and was a leading player on the perennial city and state champ adult team, Olympiakos Football Club after he returned from college.

I've been on the road & just getting to my computer today. I had an e-mail earlier today relaying the news to me. I was getting on here to share the news. My prayers and love go out to his family.
Billy is the guy who gave my middle son a shot (after tryouts for the middle school team) when he decided to switch from hoops to soccer. Billy recognized Josiah's potential as a defender and made the switch for him (from a desire to be a MF/F). It was brilliant. Josiah blossomed in that role & played nearly all of the minutes in our State Championship run this year. Billy will be forever the guy that helped turn that switch for Josiah and he is greatly appreciated by our family.

Billy was truly exceptional on and off the field. I've known him since we were both in grammar school. Deepest sympathies to his family as they grieve.
