NO! Mandeville's Jason Kreis, an American soccer manager and former player. He is currently the head coach of New York City FC in Major League Soccer, a team which will begin play in the 2015 MLS season. Prior to joining New York City FC, Kreis was the head coach at Real Salt Lake. Kreis spent the majority of his playing career in MLS in the United States, initially with FC Dallas, and later with Real Salt Lake. In total he made over 300 professional appearances, was Major League Soccer MVP in 1999, and is currently the third highest scorer in MLS regular season history. He also earned fourteen caps for the United States. While at Mandeville, he was also a standout performer for the Baton Rouge United Jags, a U-19 Select team that finished as national runner-up in 1991 and won the prestigious Capital Cup tournament in Washington, D.C. He played collegiately at Duke University where he was a three-time All-America selection. NewO

I agree with NewO. Mullins has had a great youth career and hopefully a long MLS career to come, but Jason Kreis is definitely the best soccer player we've ever produced, even if he was born in Omaha. His pedigree as a player and now manager sets him apart.
Honorable mentions would go to Jason Garey (St. Amant) who was an unbelievable goal scorer, but was nagged by injuries throughout his MLS career. Also Jared Montz (Mandeville) who had a promising MLS career cut short by knee and ACL injuries, and is now the owner of OnlineSoccerAcademy.com.
Maybe TopDrawer doesn't count Kreis for us, because he was born in Omaha.

Let's not forget St Louis Catholic star Joseph Lapira who also won the Hermann at Notre Dame, capped with Ireland, and played in several pro leagues in Scandanavia.
