Beau Chene (#1 Division II) travels to Northlake Christian (#1 Division III) for an early season match on 11/28. Thoughts and predictions?

crazy early season matchups for my alumni. Already a long road trip to Lutcher and back only less than 48 hours after playing 5 brutal games in less than a 24 hour period and winning a tourney. A little more rest before playing this one, but then they play Newman on Saturday at 2 pm also. So they will play the top 2 teams in Div III this weekend. Whatever happens, BC will be battle tested and should get good PR boost win or lose after this weekend.

This weekend is definitely a huge test of what Beau Chene will have early in season. Great for power points and also great to expose our weaknesses to work on for Copa and district! If we can play with these two great teams this weekend, then we can continue to improve and justify our hopes of staying up as one of the top 5 programs in Division II. Just to be mentioned with Vandebilt, St Thomas More, Teurlings, and Ben Franklin yearly in only our ninth year of the program is a huge testament to our kids and parents hard work! And remember, we didn't necessarily NOT lose anything! Our two senior forwards alone score almost 80 last year. So we have kids who have earned their stripes, bided their time and played club year round for this moment to step up and become the next set of BC starters. Can't wait to see how we fare against two of the best programs in the state this weekend on their home "turf"! It's an honor to play teams like this... Thanks to Coach Jacques and Coach Chetta for putting this together. Also a shout out to Coach Dan Perez from Lusher Charter (our original Friday opponents) as when he couldn't host us anymore cause of field availability, he put together the game against Northlake Christian for us. It actually worked our better as hotels were much easier and cheaper to come by on Northshore due to Bayou Classic and battle of bands this weekend in the crescent city! Hope our boys are ready for their tests!

Halftime 0-0 I'd give the advantage to Northlake when it comes to possession and opportunities in the first half.
