Always a great game between these two teams. The game will take place for 7:00 at Northshore Highschool (1/16). Northshore pulled off a win in a shoot-out against the State Champions last year. Do you think it will happen again? What are your thoughts and predictions?

There is an often cited Native American legend that says there are two wolves in each of us. A good one and an evil one in an eternal struggle. Which wolf wins? Today the answer is neither, for both will starve. St. Paul's Wolves seek vengeance, and it will consume them. The Panthers see with eyes unclouded by hate.
To NHS: I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails... but it is not this day. 90 minutes of wolves and shattered shields when the age of man comes crashing down, but it is not this day! Faith before fear! Trust in each other. STRIKE as one will. Let our last stand burn a memory so bright, that we will be remembered forever.
Every challenge along the way with courage we must face. We will battle every day to claim our rightful place.
WE WILL NOT GO QUIETLY INTO THE NIGHT. WE WILL NOT VANISH WITHOUT A FIGHT.

You should look into being a writer for Game of Thrones.

Last game I will be in attendance for before flying back to cold, snow-filled New York State! I sure hope it is a good one... One thing I can attest to about this matchup over the last 5/6 years, no game has been decided by more than two goals. I expect SPS to control the game through possession and NHS to rely on the counter. I will be on the sideline as a coach/supporter tonight and will post periodic updates throughout the match. Goodluck to both squads!

NHS with the kickoff. Pretty good attendance tonight at Panther Stadium. Student section for NHS even has fatheads of NHS players to cheer them on! 1st half is underway...

23 mins in, NHS and SPS are tied 0-0. Sloppy field conditions at NHS from rain yesterday and the girl's game prior. Very back and forth match thus far, SPS has had a few dangerous through balls well read by NHS GK Larry Newby. NHS relying more on the counter attack strategy and both teams are using long ball more than expected (field conditions probably the reason).

Sounds like a watered field again.

Believe me, there was plenty enough rain in Slidell yesterday to cause these conditions. Panther Stadium does not drain very well and some standing water is still present in corners.
Halftime: 0-0
It is quite a battle out here tonight. Not too many fouls either way - good clean game.

Northshore is still relying on the counter and creating their opportunities from set pieces deep in their attacking half (throw ins and corners). SPS is finding some holes through the middle of the park against NHS's lineup, but none have proved to be the deadly blow. Should be an interesting 2nd half...

GOOOOOOAAAALLLLLL!! Northshore #10 Alex Rojas scores from 25 yards out to the bottom left corner after some great individual effort and a missed clearance by a SPS defender.
1-0 NHS, 35 left in 2nd half.

What a game! SPS scores on a tap in after initial shot by SPS deflects off NHS GK... Only to be called back for offside!
NHS 1-0, 31 mins left in 2nd half

NHS 1-0, 22 mins left in the game. NHS content to sit in and let SPS have possession and the ball. NHS is defending nonstop now...
