I had posted this in another thread, but maybe it would be better on its own.
A question for those with expertise in the rulebook.
A school in my district scheduled another, smaller local school for a match in December. The other school then postponed the match and has subsequently postponed a couple attempted reschedules. My question is what is the recourse the school in my district can/should take. Will the match be ultimately canceled or will the other team be forced to play or forfeit?

Pretty sure you have no recourse if game not under contract. Schools can cancel at will.
Lhsaa does not extend season for any reason, so games not played are simply not played.

I wasn't sure that if once the game was scheduled on the LHSAA site one team could unilaterally cancel. It would be a shame if this team was banking on the game helping them reach 15 matches. But I guess the answer to that would be to schedule more games at the start if one is truly concerned about playing the requisite amount so that a situation like that wouldn't happen.

Which team? Does that make them 32?

Which team? Does that make them 32? I don't think. It was just a hypothetical question.

Sorry, actually it's not a hypothetical question from my first post. That really is what happened; the coach was explaining it to me the other night. I meant it would hypothetically be a shame if a team was trying to make 15 games and this happened.
