The boys from westgate are playing well right now but acadiana is tough. I think I'll give my prediction about 2 mins before the game ends. Its gonna be a good match if both teams show to play. If westgate comes out flat it will be a clinic by acaidana. If they play like I saw them play against comeaux, It will be yet another exciting game in district 3. I smell upset.

what an intelligent response(yeah right?) to the reply from 4 the love of the game. I do believe that an upset is possible, but the boys from westgate better play their asses off to defeat the rams whom are undefeated in district play.Good luck to both teams tonight. The game will be at 7:00 pm at Lloyd G Porter Stadium in New Iberia.

Ahhh good ol' Lloyd G. Porter, nothing like the worst field in district 3. However, even with the homefield advantage for Westgate, I take Acadiana 4-1. They just have too much for Westgate to handle.

My brother told me that their was an article in the Daily Iberian about how bad the field was and how it had'nt been kept up in nearly 30 years. He said that an All-start football game was held and an anoyed parrent called the newpaper and had an article put in the paper. I didn't get a chance to read it but i do no that Both westgate and Nish have varsity and Jv football games played on this field along with westgate boys and girls soccer, boys and girls club used to use it I'm not sure if they do anymore, and also some little league football teams use the field. Its horrible and they need to do something about it. I'm not sure if its one schools fault or if its the parishes to maintain.

hey, soccer 05, i don't believe that westgate soccer is to blame for how horrible the conditions are to play at Lloyd G Porter. I was under the impression that the athletic director is dictating the dimensions on how to mark the field, because he doesn't want the soccer teams to screw up the sidelines any more than they are already. So, don't put the blame on a soccer program that has NOTHING to do with the imperfect conditions and size of that so-called "worst" field in the district.

I don't see where he said this is the soccer programs fault.... he was just stating what shape the field is in.

Sorry Bounty1974, I wasn't trying to implicate your soccer program. I was just stating that I think its the worst field in the district, the thing is tiny. That does play to yalls advantage with the long throw ins, but I don't think the team actually wants a tiny field or mandates it.

With westgates style of play a bigger field would be better for them. They posses the ball well at times but when they get into tight spaces they tend to get away from the posession. I wish i could see them play at barbes field. I've heard its big and very nice. I'm not sure what the team thinks about the field but their are a couple guys on here that play for whs. If you guys read this what do yall think about porter? Too small? To narrow, short, what abouts!
