There are always exceptions to every rule, and you all know this because you speak english, or at least type it ( even though I wonder about some of you at times ). Premier and recreational soccer is no different. There will always be the select few quality recreational players, and at the same time, there will always be the not-so-premier premier players. In general, though, the majority of premier soccer players are better and more skilled than recreational players. This is partly due to a higher level of coaching and training in premier soccer ( something else to discuss ).

Don't be too hard on the lack of rhetorical skills of others Ghandi. I've seen some deficiencies in your threads too... And by the way, some of those guys have a good edgeamakayshon, right soccerstud722? I hope that elicits a bit of a smile... So here is the question. Why did LeBlanc and a bunch of other players walk away from Premier, as indicated by soccerstud722? ...

who voted for como having the most premier players?
Anyways, people take breaks from select soccer because they want to just have fun playin soccer. That is the whole reason that Soccer Team Soccer was formed.
I don't think they have many rec players that are better than select players. Unless the rec player is like Mike Leblanc who played for the Burn and starred on it.

Most stated reason for quitting select in U-18 is because the player wants to enjoy his senior year. I am not lying. I have heard more select players who drop down to rec in their junior and senior year becasue they don't want the stress of having to train as hard as they did. They want to enjoy their final year of highschool and then go on to college.
I am not sure if this is the reason, but it wouldn't surprise me.

You are right Hdkjga...Thats one of the main reasons i quit the burn. A few other factors influenced my decision but that was a big one for me. Other things that may have contributed to some of the guys quitting are not enouph playing time, not like the coach, or not likeing some of the other players (i personnally liked coach Belfour and thought i got enouph pt...Joey and I clashed a bit but none of these really influenced me) . Money could also be an issue as select soccer can get quite expensive.
