D2's playoff format sucks. How did LHSAA come up with the idea to give the wildcard to each of the 2 smallest districts? 3-1 can win 2 games all year and be a district champ, host a wildcard, and get an early home game. At the same time, the 4-1 v 5-2 matchup will see two Top 10 teams play each other. Worse yet is that Dutchtown will have to play either BF or Vandy in the second round--before the semis. The necessity for some sort of power point system has to come to mind when you look at this bracket. My picks: Loyola vs Dutchtown in the top bracket semis, St Thomas More vs Vandebilt in the other. Finals: Dutchtown v Vandebilt.

Thanks for speaking my mind...
I'm actually excited that AT LEAST we don't have to face the "traditionally tough" team in the first round as has been the case the past two years.
It is strange with the WC situation as you pointed out that they face the smaller districts.
Hopefully, for the good of soccer, those that have said they were looking into proposing the power ranking system at this year's meeting follow through it.
IF not I will be doing it next year.

Having looked at the brackets: I agree that the WC situation is obsured. Districts with multiple top 10 teams should be rewarded a WC in the first round. Although the way it is now you have 5 of the top 10 teams on each side of the bracket. On a side note I must say district 5 has the toughest draw in the first round. 5-1 vs 7-2 5-2 vs 4-1

why don't they wait and make the brackets after the season. and form them to reward the best teams instead of running into a problem like this
