Are 2 many teams hitting their peaking points in the season 2 early to carry it off into the playoffs... What teams you think are doing so, if any.
Some teams you might consider Comeaux has some huge wins, but yet lately they seem to be losing...
St Paul's won their tournament, then loss to mandeville
Shreve got good ranking and wins in tournament play, then lost to district rival Caddo, who was in a slump on offense

Many teams are as good as they will be at the start of the season. While this helps them in the short run, it has a negative affect on them in the long run.

I don't think Comeaux is a victim of peaking too early, becasue they got a lot of big wins in the beginning. They are still progressing. They beat Lafayette again in the St. louis tourney and are still very capable of beating any team in the state. I think Comeaux started well ahead of where everyone expected them to and are still progressing, I just think that there are some teams that are progressing at a quicker rate. Lafayette's a perfect example, if you told me after showcase that Lafayette would beat Comeaux 5-0 in a district match, I would have told you that it was good wishful thinking. I just think that certain teams, Lafayette in particular, seem to jump start after the Christmas break. Lafayette did it last year, the year before and the year before. For some reason, they get a lot better after that break. Whatever Coach Belfour is doing, he is doing it right, because this is a team that is playing some good ball right now.
As far as St. Paul, the might have slipped up mentally against Mandeville, but I think in the long run that that loss will remind them to not overlook your next opponent. I think they will win the Northshore district and prob. meet up with a Shreve/Caddo in the quarters and maybe a Jesuit/Acad. in the semis.
Finally Shreve. This is a good team that took a big step in their quest for a state title this year. They travelled south and saw some of the best teams in the state and that gave them a guage as to what they need to be able to do in the playoffs to make it all the way. Rivalry game losses don't tend to sway me too much, becasue teams play well above themselves in those games. That said, Caddo is a very good team. Look at their outting at St. Paul. They can play with many of the teams in the state. I don't think a loss to Caddo in a shootout will phase Shreve too much.

When you post things like this, you are perceived as nothing less than abusive and intolerably abrasive.
