The big third place match again for Byrd...hopefully the outcome this year is opposite of what it was last year...(Byrd beats Airline...Airline beats Byrd)...the key for Byrd is a little bit of heart...we played with no heart against Magnet...
What are your predictions, insights, critiques, and whatever else you have for this game?

Holy smokes Batman..... we are playing tomorrow night? Just kidding ;D. It should be a good game. Airline won the previous district meeting 2-0 at Tinsley. Byrd was in a similar position last year, up two goals going into the rematch and Airline pick them apart 4-0 to take 3rd place. The wider field definitely favors Byrd. They have more individual skill overall than we do, and probably more speed on the width. In addition, William will have a new running buddy tomorrow night becuase his old one isn't allowed to play anymore. We are VERY young, but we play with a lot of heart and a lot of emotion, something Byrd has lacked all year. They are better than what they have played most of the season. They still have guys that are scoring threats from anywhere on the field (William, Nelson, Boris, Neil, Deggs) and you have to keep an eye on all of them. We have the edge defensively still and a huge advantage in the keeper market. Byrd has to score early, and probably often. Going to PKs does not favor them, and does them no good in overcoming that 2 goal deficit they are in. If Byrd scores early, this game turns on its head very quickly, and third place is up for grabs. If the game remains scoreless, or Airline scores first, I don't think Byrd will be able to overcome it.
