84th min, Jamaica scores on a corner kick but were bailed out by the referee calling a foul on the goal scorer for pushing Zimmerman down.
This is another dead legged match playing away in ConCACaf.
86th min.

Replay looks like the call should have not been made. No VAR helped us out.

Game plan was lousy. Execution was lousy. Only thing worse would have been playing in Canada.
But at least we didn’t lose.

Absence of VAR may have saved Canada. Mexico pressing hard. Looked like a shot went in, but was saved on the line by Canada GK.

Teams had to be separated after game ends.
Yes, the USA stunk after giving up a screamer of a goal. They were fortunate to get a point though as Jamaica should have scored twice. Again, it comes down to us not being able to manufacture quality scoring chances with a consistent basis.
What was seen again, and we were hinting at it in the pregame talk, and I am guilty like Berhalter as well despite me knowing what happened in the past, is we cannot play the same lineups every two games. Our players legs were mush.
Guys like Antonee Robinson, Brendan Aaronson, Pepi, were all ineffective, because they could never get their legs under them as the game went along. We need quality depth at all positions. We need Reyna, Dest, McKennie, Pulisic, to be ready for 90 minutes and then be able to be replaced so they can come on as subs in those second games.

Weah and Musah did not look like they should have come off first, but the truth is, we needed to replace 9 players, not just two, because few of the repeating starters looked good. Berhalter , and us, are going to have to pay better attention to fitness, especially when we return to three games in a week schedules. We have to win an away game at Canada and that will not be easy if we are playing in bitter 16 degree cold in Edmonton. Paramount plus commentators of Onweyu, Edu, Dempsey, and Davies are hoping for a Vancouver match, but if I was Canada, I would stick to playing in Edmonton, as Vancouver is close to Seattle and you do not want Americans in the stands. Pay attention to the weather in late January and start time.

I think it would be dangerous to play the match in Edmonton in late January. Temperatures routinely get to -20 degrees in that area that time of year with colder wind chills, so you would be risking frostbite for the players. Vancouver has a warmer climate and a retractable roof on their stadium as well. I like that idea.

1 point away from home is not good enough anymore with the players we have.

Still waiting to watch the replay, but I suspect the 1-1 draw is not going to be satisfying to watch.

It was an ugly game to watch, fair play to Jamaica. They did pretty good.
I will not complain with 4 points out of 6 in a WCQ window. Especially since the win was at home and draw was away but we've got some difficult games coming up.
at Mexico at Canada
We get a little break with El Salvador, Panama, and Costa Rica at home which should help us qualify but those road games are going to be very difficult.
Best part about this November WCQ window was Mexico took a big fat 0 points from two games.

This may have been the most CONCACAF game that ever did CONCACAF. so much concacaf everywhere....
Tim Weah was the best player these past two games. Team looked very lackluster and out of it most of the game.
Can we talk about how bad anyone Robinson was this game and against Mexico? And Zimmerman??? they both had lots of terrible giveaways and looked real shaky on the ball. Brooks does better there.... if only he was available...
Anyway, this is an away game we should expect 3 points out of. field didn't look bad. crowd was not a factor. good weather, etc. After the goal we looked better going forward and had some good plays but then... Antonio... man. what a strike. I still don't think he should be playing for Jamaica but FIFA will FIFA. Jamaica have two dangerous players and we allowed one (the best striker in CONCACAF) second half was bad. honestly we probably should have lost. the foul on the corner was VERY soft.
Let's get to the good part: Berhalter.
in what world did Musah and Weah need to come off? And in what world do Arriola and Acosta coming on make the team better? the decision making by our coach is bad. Acosta brought nothing to the game. Arriola had a half opportunity after everyone was stunned by the call on the corner and ofcourse he couldn't take down the ball and have a 1v1... Can't even recall Acosta doing anything honestly. The subs had no impact. Pepi has also been absent the past couple games...
I have too many thoughts and lack the writing skills to make it all concise. My apologies.
Going forward with 6 games left it looks like 26, 27, 28 points should put us through. 1-4 have 6 points of separation from 5-8. Next window is El Salvador, @ Canada, and Honduras. That should be atleast 7 points. I do think with a friendly against Bosnia in December before our next window we could get away with firing Gregg and installing someone who knows how to manage talented players. Call me a dreamer, fine.
Rant over

Anfernee Robinson was terrible in that he could never find his legs under him and every touch he had ended with a misplay or miss touch.
