With little more than 24 hours to go for this game, we can see that the national sports media can give a crap about World Cup qualifying for team USA. The last thing the Sports media is interested in is good publicity about anything pro USA. All they want to do is crap on the country. They call everyone Xenophobic, but they themselves are Oikaphobic.
UEFA is seeing the giants qualify already for Qatar. Serbia taking out Portugal was a surprise. Spain was shown on ABC during the Saints game, taking out Ibrahimovic and Sweden. Next up for UEFA are the playoffs of second place finishers.
Mexico at Canada is an interesting game. Will the cold weather ice El Tri? As I said in the game 7 forum, I am worried that USA could trip up against Jamaica and Panama wins. That would drop us to the fourth place playoff position. The USA needs to get the win at Jamaica. Hopefully the Weah/Musah combination will be dominant again like they were against Mexico. Busio may get the start.

Steffen has already been confirmed to start. I’d have to assume Busio will get the start in place of McKennie and Richards for Robinson. But of course with Gregg you never know…
Would like to see scally at some point this game.

We have been plugging and playing so many new players that we have forgotten those cast out like Daryl Deekay and Josh Sargent. With Scalley, it is another opportunity to get a bona fide defender on the roster that is less than 21 years old. You can see how playing these younger players is paying dividends down the road when you see how Musah and Weah have propelled themselves to first team action. It is possible, that Giovanni Reyna is now the back up to Timothy Weah. These are good things to have and if we continue this development, we can have a packed World Cup roster with players who not only are young, but competitive in their leagues, many playing in Europe. Getting back to our issues since we crashed out of the last World Cup, we still need a good striker. Pepi, has played well, but now is going few games without scoring, yet we are 5 wins 0 losses when he starts. Could it be, that those growing pains pay off In the long run if Deekay gets in form? European clubs have gotten their eye on him so who knows what the future brings. The point is, we are one year from the next World Cup. Between now and then, what if we find as many players as we have found in the past year? What would that do change things and what if those cast out, get back in form? The point is, the USAMNT may be in position than ever before to make big things happen. Before we get there, we need to tie up the loose ends and finish qualifying. Then who knows what will happen. We are going to need some luck and good breaks and get out of these injury concerns we seem to be getting yet somehow using our depth to overcome those injuries. www.nytimes.com/2021/11/12/sports/soccer/usa-mexico-world-cup-pepi.html

This 100% is a game where GB pulls a GB, and screws around with everything in a game we should win, leading to a loss or draw. Hoping to be shocked with two strong lineups back to back.

Coming off a big win, this usually happens. We thought we had 2018 qualification after game 9 against Panama, a big win, and then that TNT fiasco, along with no VAR gifting Panama a goal it did not score did the USA in. GB needs to not make it so hard. If he uses a different a squad than Friday’s team to get fresh legs, he may be remembering what Arena did when he used the same lineup and had his players languishing. I am of the opinion you keep the lineup the same. He may use a bench player from Friday such as Arriola to give an Aaronson or a Weah a rest. Can’t see how you keep out Weah. Maybe he sits Pepi.

Need a big win here to put some distance between us and 4th place.
Jamaica has that outstanding striker from West Ham so hopefully our defenders are prepared for that. Tbh he will be more of a challenge than Mexico's attack gave us.

The problem with Mexican soccer is they always seem to rest on their laurels and they always hit a ceiling and then get taken out. CONCACAF has grown and you can really see it with all the diversity of European club players as well as MLS and now the Canadian premier league will give more and more players a chance.

Belgium, already qualified, lead Wales 1-0, 22nd min, now on ESPN2.
Today’s game all streaming live on Paramount + and they have the best panel and announcers in my opinion.

Very few people in the stadium. Vuvuzuela horns seemed to have made it. Looks like less than 2,000 people. You can hear the coaches talking through the tv if the announcers are not talking.
5th min. Sloppy play on both sides.

Halftime 1-1.
USA playing down to their competition. The field is slowing the pace up. Seems, all CONCACAF fields are crap.
