Most wins in a calendar year, 17. Turner, most shutouts in a calendar year. Some new debuts. Pulisic won USA player of the year.
Great. Now qualify for Qatar.

Loved the win and the fresh legs out there at the end. Morris at least in the first half looked like himself - diving head right at keeper nice to see.
Gomez getting in was fun as well - I guess he gets an assist for that goal?

I actually enjoyed watching this game more than I thought I would. The straight red card though seemed to take away the competitive element to it. Morris looked good in moments and he shows he can be called upon if Pepi continues to not be able to find the net. He whiffed on that cross that he should have put in in the early first half. Bassett looked good after coming on and getting the game winner. I saw some nice work from Lennon as well. Once again, we favored that right side attack.

Acosta was absolutely horrible this game.
I was very glad to see Morris having the mobility and change of pace that he displayed after coming back from his injury. The only play that maybe he showed some mental worry was when he was going in for a 50/50 with the GK and just missed the ball completely. I don't know where he'll fall (in or out?) when the final roster is named for the World Cup, but I've always rooted for the young man. In his last 12 months before his injury, you can see how much work and improvement he had on using his left foot. It's hard not to root for the guy in my book.
The Pepi train is definitely slowing down and needs to be pick up steam again.
I would've like to see more of the young players earlier in the match as well.
I'm glad Turner has a GK record associated with him... he's a heckuva shot stopper.
Walker Zimmerman continues to impress me. He's so good in the air.

Well, we have one month to get ready for three winnable World Cup games next month. Home at Columbus, OH to play a tough El Salvador on the 27th, travel to play Canada in Ontario on the 30th, and then back home to play Honduras in Minnesota on the 2nd of February. Looks like those will be some chilly cold games. Hope the Covid doesn’t decimate our roster. Winter breaks and Covid concerns may give our nationals rest or get them in shape as has happened with Pulisic who went 90 minutes today against Wolverhampton, because Lukaku has Covid. He had the best shot of the game saved in a tie as Chelsea are languishing, but Pulisic is working himself back into fitness. MLS players lack games now so how ready will they be?

This game was an absolute disgrace. MLS is bad. I thought the league had progressed but if this is the best our MLSers have to offer… wow. Bad. Acosta proved himself worthless. Roldan… worthless. Just bad
