Saturday has a very limited number of games on the schedule, but if you are looking to get out on a beautiful day and watch a match, there is a good one today at Walker's Wildcat stadium.
#2 North Vermillion travels to Walker to take on the Wildcats at 100 PM.
Both teams are 3-0 and are looking for an early season statement result. These two played last season at the David Thibodaux tournament and battled to a 0-0 draw.
Should be a good match! Come on out and enjoy the day by watching a good game.

Turned out to be a very good and hard-fought game in some decent weather with a very good crowd. Well worth seeing.
NV scored midway through the first half on a pk after Walker gk was called for a foul in the box.
Walker equalized about 5 minutes later with Angel Vega Rivera kicking in a rebound off a free kick making it 1-1. NV had a player sent off for a second caution and played the remainder of the half with 10 men
Second half started with Walker having more of the run of play, and NV trying to counter. NV lost their GK in the first half to injury and then lost another player to what looked like a shoulder injury but did a great job of staying organized and compact, and countering Walker's possession.
With 19 minutes left in the second half, NV had a great counter down the right flank, beat the Walker defender with a cross and saw the ball fumbled by the Walker gk. Back side midfielder ran in and poked it in for a 2-1 NV lead. Walker had chances throughout the second half, but NV defense held firm and Walker didn't get any quality strikes on goal. A straight red to a Walker player with about 10 to go sealed the deal and NV emerged victorious.
Game was VERY physical. North Vermillion is solid and well organized. Coach Patin has a good squad, and they will do well this season. Excellent crowd on hand and NV travelled well. Thanks to the Patriots for making the trip.
